Tango's Tavern

I'm going to qualify this 5-star rating two ways.One I have become friends with one of the owners over the years so I say this with love. This place is a dive-bar in the finest sense of the description. Nothing fancy, the smoking area is MUCH larger than the non-smoking area, but the pool tables are in the Non-smoking side, the restrooms, bar and kitchen on the smoking side. Standard Bar food, Burgers, Fries, onion rings, Chicken wings, etc... Try the "Below Hell wings" if you like it spicy!The Bar is owed by two Ohio natives, retired Navy both and from here they also Run Buckeye Boys BBQ Catering. They have a great menu for the catering business and do a great job check em out if you love BBQ and need an event catered!Now for part two. I am from Michigan yet I love this place because of the people in here. Most of the patrons are Ohio Natives especially during football season, OSU games on Saturday and Cleveland Browns games on Sunday get the Prime TVs other games around the room. During State Games, they also run bigger speakers and an MC who pulls 50/50 drawing tickets at the end of the game. How did a Marine from Michigan befriend a sailor from Ohio you ask? This is how I come to rate Tango's 5-stars. We came in here one night and we raised hell, the owner was there and spent most of the evening laughing at us and our antics. A regular bar would have asked us to leave. But with a sense of humor and a tolerant clientele our club and the bar personnel all had a great time. We spent a lot of time in here over the years.Bottom line, if you are an Ohio Fan you need to come here if you want to be with fellow Buckeye / Browns fans!Tell Mac, Fart Master sent you!Sláinte!

Well, we wanted to check in to Tangos Tavern, however, out of ALL their TVs they claim to have the nfl games on, they're only devoted to a select few games, we cannot check in. They wouldn't change even 1 of those TV's to the Patriots game. This comes despite their amazing wait staff "Maggie" trying to assist us. Tsk tsk tsk . So, we're spreading the word on where NOT to go to watch the nfl. However, Maggie, their amazing wait staff, would be the only reason we EVER go back. Thanks to Maggie Demato for trying. You're the best!!!! Go pats!!!

Great little bar. The staff is nice & the food here is pretty good. They have darts, pool tables & plenty of Tvs to watch sports games.

I'm surprised Tango's hasn't gotten more reviews. It definitely has a "dive bar" feel to it--but the regulars and the staff are really friendly. The restaurant is divided in to two sections, one for smokers and one for non smokers. I got the feeling that the non smoking side wasn't really the place to be, so I sat on the smokers side at the bar. I came for lunch and ordered their buffalo wings (I'm not sure if this was actually on the lunch menu--but they hooked me up). My coworker ordered a salad, which I was a little worried about. Nothing quite as weird as eating a salad while eating at a bar to me. The wings came out fast and tasted great. My coworker enjoyed his salad. Overall, I'd say this place is alright in my book. If I lived closer, I'd hit this place up on a game night and have a few drinks.

My BF and I went in on the way home from dinner on a whim. It's a typical neighborhood bar. But Steve and Nicole behind the bar were fantastic!!! Great service and were patient with all our first timers questions about the place. The beer prices were very reasonable and they had some local VA craft brews on tap. Regulars at the bar really talked up the food there. It was a comfortable neighborhood bar elevated for me by the great service and friendliness of BOTH bartenders working (how unusual!). Thank you guys!!!!

Nice place to hang out and drink, comfortable atmosphere. I'm only 20 though so I don't drink but there's entertainment and good food so I still love this place!

My favorite place to go on Taco Tuesday! Simply the best tacos around for only $2,50. This place has delicious food and friendly bartenders. Karaoke on Wednesdays. I think everyday they have something going on. love it!

Tacos were gross and they didn't ask me if I wanted to close my tab out or not they just closed it and I couldn't get another drink because it was under ten dollars

Love the garlic fries an garlic wings. Tried it for the first time last night since my boyfriend works there best food for any tavern I've been to. I'll definitely be coming back and the prices are reasonable too.

Amazing and professional service . I brought some friends from out of town for a late night drink after dinner and the bartender John took excellent care of us. The drinks and the service were on point. The karaoke night was a great addition and was a lot of fun. It was a lot of fun and we will be back .
