T J's Sports Tavern

We love TJ's for their really good food (especially the bone-in wings), and the sweet tea. We've gone quite a few times, and have had nothing but great customer service! Seeing some one-star ratings, I read them to find out why. Either extremely bored, hateful people, or people trying to bash them because they were cut off. The servers really stay focused on the customers. They do card, so saying they serve underage is a crock, and I've seen this as well as experienced it with our young looking adult child. We love all the TV's, music, and pool tables. So glad for the expansion due to their success in Poquoson...going there today with my family for lunch

Went there for the first time last week and it was cool. Everyone there was chilling and listening to music. The bartender was super busy so patience is key. Definitely be a dope spot if they had a bigger venue.

Just don't. Go literally anywhere else. Bartenders accidentally charged me an extra beer. Whatever, it happens. When I pointed it out, Tony insisted his bartenders wouldn't cheat me and that I was drunk. When I pointed out that wasn't at all the case, he just told me I was trash and to just not come back. Surprising behavior from the owner, but whatever. I'll avoid his establishment going forward.They do no longer smoke indoors so at least that's a step forward. I'm sure I'll update this a year fromnow when I forget how much I dislike this place.

If you're looking to drink under age and continue to be served after being drunker than an Irishman on St. Paddy"s day after winning the lottery, than TJ's 2 Sports Bar and COVID-19 emporium on Wythe Creek road in Poquoson is the place for you! Try Mcfatters down the street. The bartenders there actually smile occasionally.

There's no hours on Yelp so I call. I ask for their address and they answer suspiciously. I ask for the hours and the girl passes the phone to a guy. "What do you want?""I was looking for your hours.""Why do you need to know?""So I can know when I could come in.""I don't think so! We don't need you or your ****ing business. Go somewhere else!"And he hangs up.So is this what low intelligence and an impulse control disorder sounds like?

Well my wife and I stopped in for lunch food is top notch the service is amazing. Our bartender Rae was the best part of our expierence she was amazing. We will be back and tell our friends. We love amazing bartenders.Thank u

Terrible customer service. They treat you awful. The management is awful. And there are two of these bars, one in Newport News and one in Poquoson. Each being extremely distasteful and disgraceful to their customers. If they don't like the way you look or dress they immediately harass you. I will NEVER give my money to this bar again and hope that people realize the discrimination is just disgusting. The owner should be ashamed to allow things like this in their bars. Covid rules are definitely not applied nor used. There are many more respectful places to go in this town than TJ's.

Terrible, they were harassing another customer and using profanity! I will never go back! I've never in my life seen such harassment! Disgusting! 1 star is to good for them they need 0 stars! This was at the Poquoson location! Food was awful also!

Decent food cozy atmosphere casual service plenty of on and off street parking. Enjoy the large screen tvs pool tables and adults slide over to the gaming machines.

Service is amazing and food is incredible!!! A lot of TVs to watch games, fun place to play pool and meet friends! Down home atmosphere just like CHEERS!!
