Sweet Retreat Ice Cream Parlor

I went on a Saturday night and the service was very fast and friendly! I got a biscoff milkshake and it was great!

Stopped here on a whim for an ice cream sundae. Had the smores rocky road in a waffle bowl. It was sooo delicious! The 2 guys working were so fun and excited for you to try samples. They were so friendly, you can tell they really like what they do. They have games like cornhole and jenga. The kids were having fun playing. I will be back.

I did not know the name of this place was Sweet retreat. The sign on the storefront just says Ice Cream. I had a classic banana Split which was delicious. Another member had a pistachio ice cream cone and found it to be delicious as well. The folks there were friendly. Overall good ice cream.

Stopped by for a sweet treat and had white chocolate raspberry, Smokey mountain fudge, strawberry cheesecake and lemon bar awesome ice cream and Vlad is enthusiastic and helpful with great suggestions!!! Some of the best service we have had out whole trip this week!!!!

My family is currently on vacation in the outer banks and we want an ice cream place that is not the island standard Hershey's. We found Sweet Retreat. It has... Free Games and great ice cream at a beach destination! They give sample tastes if you ask. There is fun outdoor seating with umbrellas. It is a fun place to visit while at the outer banks. My son had chocolate / moose tracks. The ladies each had cookie (Oreo) / peanut butter cup. I had butter pecan / pretzel & Heath. We all had smiles.

The service was friendly. That's the only good thing I can say. The ice cream was barely frozen- soft and mushy. It was also almost flavorless. There was practically no difference between the vanilla, butter pecan or cookie dough. A complete disappointment. Not one of the 4 of us was happy with our ice cream. We all walked away wanting real ice cream!

Amazing ice cream, our favorite place to get ice cream when at the beach. Yummy ice cream, affordable, friendly staff, lots of seating.

Had a delightful malt milk shake. The family also enjoyed all their orders. Vlad was the man. He was friendly and you see the passion he had for his craft. Will return soon.

Lemon bar, strawberry cheesecake, Smokey mountain fudge and white chocolate raspberry are all 10/10 good

We walked into Sweet Retreat and were greeted by a 4 inch long cockroach. Should have been the end of our experience here, but we had already walked over a mile to get there and the kids wanted ice cream / milkshakes. They did not have lids for the milkshakes and they were extra milky which resulted in spills. Would not recommend coming here.
