If you want a no BS, has your back, and will throw down (well not literally) wedding coordinator... then Brenda Swann should be your numero uno. She was super chill but equally elegant, beneficially opinionated but open minded to my pretentious ideas, and easy to talk to-- like the big sister I never had!My husband and I are fortunate to have found her. She has great connections within the wedding world. She is easily accessible via phone. On the day of your event, she and her team can keep things running but also maintain a cool head. Her ideas come to fruition beautifully! She's also there to keep it real and steer you clear when you've hit a wedding planning wall. My wedding reception was at the Hotel Del. While that can come off as fluffy and seemingly ostentatious (which is not us as a couple at all), Brenda worked expertly with their team and us to keep it as "true" to ourselves as possible. Despite me being a "Type A", I DO NOT KNOW where we would be without her! Thank you Brenda and Swann Soirees!

They'll get a feel for your preferences and styles, and then provide you with a short list to choose from. PROFESSIONAL Responsive to emails and phone calls, considerate of issues that are important to one or both families, flexible enough to adapt and make your wedding day turn out the way you want it to be. They offer additional services like Workshops, Monthly Check-Ins, and a team of pros to answer any question any time. DAY-OF BLISS On the day of your wedding there are a couple things on your mind, and you don't want one of those to be "has the caterer arrived....do they know where to put the reserved seating signs......does someone have an extension chord in case the band forgot theirs?". Brenda and her team take care of EVERYTHING - the vendors all know to direct all of their questions to her. This was the most valuable part of our experience, our entire wedding-day was 100% worry free...priceless. I found Brenda on Yelp (and here I am writing my own review) and decided I had to meet with her to see what all these perfect ratings were about. I didn't meet with any other planner in town, I knew she was "the one" from our first meeting! She instantly won me over with her bubbly personality, wit, expertise, confidence and style. Did I mention she's really cool and down to earth too? Without her, I would have been absolutely overwhelmed and clueless planning my own wedding. She knows all the best vendors it town, recommends a short list that fits your budget, and I couldn't be happier with who she recommended. She makes it all so easy! At the rehearsal the day before, some of the groomsmen were giving her some attitude, and she warned me that if any of them did, she'll throw it right back at them - and she did! It was hilarious, this girl does not mess around. She remains aware of "drunk uncles" and/or other "problem" family members too, she's basically a saint. On the day-of, I didn't have to worry about anything and it's great to know she has a great rapport with all of the vendors so it all flows magically. Two words *Brenda tears.* When my bridesmaids and I pulled up to the venue, and I saw everything Brenda worked so hard on and put together for my fiancé and I, the tears started flowing... the ceremony hadn't even started yet! I wasn't picky throughout the planning process, I didn't have a vision that some brides formulate when they're 10 years old, but it's as if she read my mind on the vision I was trying to achieve; she absolutely nailed it. You have the option to add on do-it-yourself ("DIY") time with her and her staff when you hire them. I was scrambling towards the end of planning and asked them to make the name cards, table numbers, drink menu, and hash tag frames. All I did was bring the frames and they matched the style to my wedding invitations per Brenda's suggestion. They turned out perfect!She had to put up with me for over a year and a half, and she was still patient, sweet, professional and realistic. She is a saint, sent straight from heaven. Just schedule a meeting with Brenda if you're thinking about hiring a planner, you will NOT be disappointed!! Miss you already Brenda!!!

My wife and I were hesitant at the idea of getting at a wedding coordinator at first, since we had most of our details planned out and thought we could handle the day-of craziness on our own. We are SO HAPPY we ended up hiring Brenda. Her professionalism and efforts the month and day of our wedding were integral in making sure things went off without a hitch. To give a little color, we were supposed to have our ceremony at 3:30 at an outdoor venue. That week, we started to see rain in the forecast and get a little worried. On the day of, it started POURING at 3:20, but Brenda sprung into action and made sure the transition from outside to inside happened smoothly, and looking back it almost seemed like we had planned on having it inside all along. She took all the potential stress out of that situation so we could focus on each other and our guests. I don't know what we would have done without her. If you are deciding whether or not to hire a coordinator, don't think twice about hiring Brenda! She'll make sure the entire day is planned out, the vendors know when and where they're supposed to be, and any other details you don't know that you don't know are taken care of. Great decision, great coordinator, great person, definitely recommend!

The best decision my husband and I made for our wedding was hiring Swann Swoirees. We were very hesitant to hire a wedding planner as we were on a budget and my husband and I are both people who like to research and plan. We found Swann Swoirees through Yelp after tirelessly searching online for wedding venues & going to venues that we're giving us prices we couldn't afford. We met with Brenda & Tricia twice (my husband met with them first and I met second as I live out of town) and we both knew right away we needed to work with them! Brenda & her partner Tricia were the most practical, supportive, super honest planners and kept us organized and on task! Brenda knew how to calm down my sometimes overly outgoing husband when needed and to keep me in check from overthinking! They became great friends to us! All the vendors they recommended provided exactly what we wanted for our wedding! I honestly think that hiring them pretty much paid for itself because they know everyone in the business so we got great deals. They set up our appointments with venues and some vendors and came to many of our appointments. They took care of everything and any issues we had with any vendor/contact they helped us deal with it or took control over it. At the wedding reception there were wedding crushers and Brenda stayed later than she had planned just so that they wouldn't enter! Thank you!As I live out of town it was so easy to contact Brenda and Tricia through phone, text, or email. We have no regrets hiring Swann Swoirees and would recommend them to anyone!

Where do I start...Brenda is simply amazing. She is the nicest person who truly cares for those around her. When my now husband and I started to plan our wedding we were so overwhelmed we quickly realized we needed someone who knows what they are doing, then we meant brenda...prayers answered. We knew she was right for us from the first meeting if not before from just our phone conversations. She is so energetic it is infectious. She hooked us up with great vendors, that were also all within our budget. On the actual wedding day everything went flawlessly, if there was any glitches we weren't aware of them. We know that without Brenda and her amazing team our day would not have flowed so seamlessly and looked so gorgeous. If your looking for a great coordinator she's your girl. I knew from the moment we got engaged that I NEEDED Brenda. We hired Brenda for our June 2013 DIY wedding. I know people say this kind of thing all of the time but seriously, we could not have done it without her. We got engaged while living in San Diego in September 2011 but soon after moved for my husband's job. We ended up planning from afar but knew that it would not be a problem with Brenda on our side. She is extremely professional and hard working. She kept me on task with checklists, homework and Skype sessions.And when I say DIY, we literally had everyone and their mother helping us make enough stuff to fill a massive Uhaul. Massive. Brenda never flinched, her and her team took it on. They made our wedding day (and all of the planning before hand) fun and stress-free. She was even able to keep the 13 groomsmen and 8 bridesmaids in check all day and night. Yup, I typed 13.I am so thankful we had her support from the very beginning. She is absolutely FANTASTIC!

My husband and I just got married on Sept 15, 2012 and it was flawless! We hired Brenda pretty far in advance because as soon as I got engaged I knew I wanted her as my support. From the beginning, we had a great meeting about what we tentatively wanted and from there she gave wedding "homework" to help form our perfect wedding. She shared great ideas and even joined my bridesmaids and I at my home for DIY day to create favors. Gave us just enough options for vendors etc to make decision making simple and we were happy with everything!The wedding day was flawless, she grabbed all the projects from my home and took them to the venue to get set up, Brenda had what we like to call the coordinator utility belt full of tissues, mints anything anyone would need. It was such am amazing, memorable, wonderful day. We would recommend Brenda and her team to everyone interested in having an amazing wedding experience. Did I say the word "flawless" yet? Because that's what it was.

Brenda rocks! I was maid of honor in one of my best friends weddings and I cannot say enough about how professional and accommodating she was. The bride chose to use Brenda's firm for the days leading up and day of services--she made a great choice. Brenda was always there, moving the wedding party along in organized fashion, never rushed us and always made sure that everyone was taken care of (and had beverages in hand)! : )When there was an issue with the photographer Brenda took charge and told her what's up! Brenda is amazing!!! Immediately upon meeting her, I knew that we were making the right decision in hiring her to help us with our special day. She was extremely professional, always available to answer any questions or provide suggestions along the way. Her positive and vibrant energy kept me at ease, especially during somewhat stressful moments during the planning process. Even though we hired her for "day of" services, she went above and beyond and did so much more for us than we could have ever anticipated. Our wedding day ran smoothly and if there were any hiccups, I didn't know about them, as she handled everything promptly and with utmost professionalism.Brenda is an expert at what she does and truly cares about her clients.
