Sushi Yoma

Sushi Yoma is good. Our table had the lunch plate which gives you sushi and a meat item. Everything was very good.Wait staff is good, but need another person waiting tables and counter. Atmosphere is unique but works.

Stopped in here while I was visiting family and friends. Always a great experience. Visually, and on your taste buds. The fresh fish with their sushi dishes is great. Always makes me wanna come back for more.

Dinner for both of us, this time Chirashi for me and sashimi dinner for hubby. Hubby was disappointed that he wasn't able to have his seasoned vinegar rice but I got so full that I shared most of Chirashi with him. He was very happy and full afterwards. As usual excellent sashimi and best rice ever. One chef handles this small restaurant but he's been doing this for years. We complimented him on our way out.

Still freshest, most flavorful sushi in the area! Spicy tuna oner sushi rice (with some finely minced onion). Sashimi and sushi lunch combo, upgraded California roll to spicy tuna. Delicious as always!

Not a big restaurant. Great experience every time. Best sashimi of the town in my opinion. Enjoy it.

The reviews are spot on. The sushi here is awesome (high quality fish; the Japanese mustard that accompanies the shumai is to die for). The service is even better. I don't think my drink was ever less than half full.

Always nice and kind staff. The food is always good portions if you like sashimi. I judge sushi places by their sashimi not their rolls. The rolls are ok, they are mostly the standard stuff you see anywhere.

Wow. This place is unbelievably good. One of my favorite restaurants I've been to. You walk in and could almost feel like you are in a sushi shop in Japan. The service, food, and decor all transport you to a calmer more relaxed place. The music is relaxing while you order and everything is made fresh and with care. The staff is super friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. Highly highly recommend.

My daughter and I stopped here for her birthday in December 2021. She loves sushi and loved this place so much we went back for her bday in December 2022. We had only patronized this establishment one time, but the owners remembered us!! Couldn't believe it. On top of awesome customer service, the food was amazing. I'm officially addicted to their Newport News Roll. I have no negative critiques for them.And on a final note, the wife gave my daughter a wrapped gift (delicious little tea cookies) before we left. Great food and awesome owners

I was visiting town and found Sushi Yama on Yelp. I went on a Tuesday evening. They were crowded. You could tell that there were regulars there...they were chatting with the owner. It was a friendly atmosphere.She was very courteous, and as I gave her my order, she told me that it may be a wait for my food, and asked if I was ok with that.I got edamame, Rock and Roll, and Spicy Tuna. They were delicious. I came back on my last night in town, Thursday. She remembered me and said I shouldn't have to wait tonight, smiling. When she gave me the menu, she pointed out, "you had this and this" before.I got the Spicy Tuna and the Dragon Roll and they were great again. I highly recommend this restaurant for great sushi and superb personal service.
