I used to love coming here. Maybe a 4 or 5 star at one point.They got rid of the buffet self serve bar.The food takes forever to come out, the servers are never around so you can order more. The portions arent what they used to be. I rank my decisions to eat somewhere again as:1 star - if someone else buys it I won't eat it, I would rather go hungry.2 star - if I'm hungry, no other options are open and someone buys it - I would consider eating it3 star - I'm ok with eating it as long as someone else pays 4 star - I will eat again and pay for it and be a semi-regular customer 5 star - I will travel for good food and pay good money and be back on a regular basis and maybe even pay for yours just so we can goBased off staff friendliness, selection, value, quick service & taste.I would most definitely pay to eat here again.

I prefer this location than other Sushi King. They have rolls that some of the other sushi kings don't have. They are always clean and service is always great. I usually order the Spicy girl roll, hibachi chicken,steak and shrimp...no rice, crab ragoon, and clear soup. The food usually comes out quick and served hot. I have eaten here three times in the last month or so...so I will say I eat here pretty often.

My boyfriend was excited to take me here for dinner because I have never been. I must say, I have never met such a cold hostess in my life, Destiny. She saw us waiting for a hostess as she walked past. Did not say hi. She appeared to be completely miserable. We all have bad days but dang. She made me not want revisit because when we were seated, she took our drink order and said ok... I ordered a mix drink. She neglected to inform us that they did not serve liquor, I found that to be extremely rude. Nor did she offer a drink menu or come back to tell us the drink I ordered would never be served. Dinner was not busy for a Saturday evening. The decor is modern and the place was clean. It was disappointing that the salad bar was not open nor the ice cream machine. Unfortunately, it seems that their prices have gone up $5 but offer less. Regardless, the food we ordered came out hot and fresh and we have no complaints on any of that. Our server was being trained and doing excellent. Both of them were very nice and attentive. I would like to try the one in Newport News.

Food was mediocre. Service was slow. Might be a coincidence but next day my credit card was hacked. It was a new card - only time it was out of my possession in the couple days I had it was here when paying the bill. (Only "tap" payments prior to then) Didn't file police report be because it cant be proved.

To call this sushi, is an insult to sushi. This is Asian buffet quality raw fish with rice, with less selection and double the price. There's an asian buffet down the street that I'm sure makes the same quality foods.Cons:-fish is not fresh, I'm sure it is not sushi grade-way too much rice-bland flavor or just does not taste goodPros: server was niceThink about it like this: as humans, we can only eat so many meals. I felt angry that I wasted an eating experience at this place.

The service was awful. Several times we had to get up and find our waitress. We had to find our own chopsticks and silverware. The waitress seemed oblivious to this. The sushi is mediocre and full of milk products like cream cheese- which should come with a warning if you are eating sushi because you are lactose intolerant. The building is nice, but wasted on this very basic and commercialized, small menu of sushi- that you will basically be serving to yourself.

I liked the all you can eat at Sushi King. I went for a quick lunch so I didn't have much time to try more food. The shrimp shumai dumpling were ok, they needed a little more flavor but the sauce helped. The volcano roll was amazing to me and would definitely get it again. The BBQ squid was good, definitely better than I thought I was going to be. The service was top notch and the vibe was good for lunch. I recommend.
