Came into Surf Adventure while driving over to Sandbridge to look for shells, wide variety of anything surf! During off season it seems they run a 30% off sale on soft-top boards. It was a perfect opportunity to pick up a soft top skim for the upcoming season for about $35 under retail price. Great surf shop with friendly staff

We really enjoyed our kayaking adventure with our guide Brian! We are novices and had our young kids with us, and it was the perfect experience! He gave us a brief run down on how to paddle and we set off. He went at our pace and was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and wildlife. We all had a blast!

Love this place! Great Surf/Skate apparel and gear. Surf camp is a must every year. The staff running the camp are some of the best in Virginia Beach. They even remembered my son name from last year. I see Surf & Adventures beach rental's all over Sandbridge. Must be doing something right. Bought this 8 ft soft top board last year. My son loves it. I always love stopping by the shop even if I don't need anything just to see what's new.

Can here for some kayaking in the back bay. We had reservations for 9:30am-11:30am. Ample parking out back behind the front office. We were in a group with 8 people total and with a guide. Very easy to get in and out of the water, they have a special dock!We made reservations on a day that ended up being 95 and a heat warning. BRING WATER. I wish I would have had 2 water bottles. They can easily be stored on your kayak. The trip was a little harder than most of my previous kayak trips. There was no breeze for almost the entire trip, and because it's a bay (with some tributaries), there wasn't a current either. Made paddling more work. Our trip ended up being more like 3 hours. Our guide was nice...at least for the short time I could hear her. She mainly stayed at the very front of the group and never really let us catch up other than at the half way point. Personally, I didn't think there was much to look at here. I'm used to doing a lot of rivers, and the ocean...but there just wasn't much to appreciate aside from lots of tall grass on both sides. For that reason don't think I would kayak here again.

Last weekend was our first time actually stopping and running a kayak from here. The staff is super friendly and helpful and I loved that the boat dock was right behind the building to where we could kayak round-trip. The appointment was in great condition and the views were peaceful and nice. We will definitely go back again and recommend this place to others

Well organized enterprise that employees young and professional staffers. The kayak ride was different and it was beautiful. The pictures can tell more than I can ever describe. You will probably be there alone, except for a few water snakes.

Love kayaking here! We go here twice in the summer for the past 3 years. It's located at Sandbridge. It's only $26 for a single kayak or might as well do a double kayak for for $28 (2 seaters). They give you a map before you head out so you don't get lost kayaking. They warn you about snakes too. And they are not lying about that! We saw one just once, but they honestly won't do anything. You would just need to pass them without bothering them. You go through A swampy area first, which takes Less than 10 minutes to pass by it if you keep paddling. We went this past June and the swampy part got really messy with branches everywhere! It was so hard to paddle around them. We definitely ran into them and trees. Then after the swamp part, you're in this shallow area with long grass. It's very calm and relaxing. Then after that it's the open bay. It's absolutely amazing. You can paddle as far as you want, but you have to get back after 5 hours. I would say it took us about 2-3 hours to the bay and back. We took many breaks and some relaxing moments just enjoying the view and breeze. Make sure to bring some snacks, sun screen, and water. But don't drink too much water or you'll need to go pee and there's no place to do that! Lol so use the bathroom before you go.Great place to kayak!

Located just before Sandbridge Beach in Va. Beach is this wonderful surf shop that has rentals as well for beach equipment. They have the typical beach gear for sale like surfboards, skateboards, and beach attire. But we're here to rent a kayak. You can either rent a kayak to take with you or rent to launch from their dock behind their store. They have a marsh dock which eventually turns into the bay. You can go into the bay if you want and explore the area. It's a good nature kayak experience. You just have to be back at the dock by 5 pm so explore away. It's a pretty unknown spot to kayak from but it is definitely worth it. For a single kayak, it costs $27 and a double is $30. It's a reasonable price since we have all day to kayak. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Will continue to come here for kayaking adventures!
