I don't get out this way often enough but when I do, and there's time, I really enjoy hitting the links at Suffolk Golf Course. I like in Chesapeake so it's an easy drive over there from my house. The course is in great shape and this place is extremely well maintained and managed. I've seen issues handled before they become issues. The starters and rangers are all on top of things. This makes for a very pleasant experience.

Nice course but has a few quirky holes that have blind shots that you almost have to guess where to play the ball if you're not familiar with the course!

Great course, and one of the cheapest in Hampton Roads for green fees. Management allows AM walkers, which is also nice. The first time here, the owner took the time to discuss best course of play for every hole. It is clear he really loves this course and appreciates his customers. I've been back several times since, and will continue to play this course.

Golf courses in decent shape. But the owner is a very rude person I bought the tea time on golf now for 6:48 in the morning and I got there at 6:44 and he towed me that I couldn't play with a group that was playing at 7 o'clock a 3 minute difference and I had to pay for whole new round in los my golf now tee time. He was very Rude about it

I'll tell you this golf course is ok, it's a cheap way to have fun but if your looking for a scenary this is not the place. The course is ok but not great, the greens are a little choppy and sandy. I would say if you need to solve a golfing fix for the day you can use this course but if your taking friends out or clients this is not the place. Hope this helps.

Nice course good layout good staff. Greens were good one week and then the air rated them another which was crap. But other than that nice place

Always been one of my favorite city courses. Generally well-maintained and scenic. Nice, but challenging, water features. We played on July 4, which meant they were busy and we had to skip a couple of holes, which I wasn't happy about, but overall, a good experience. And the greens fees are reasonable for such a nice course.

First, I want to start that I rate the course with two different reviews. Course: I'd give 5 stars due to the greens and the scenery. Good cart path. Lots of leaves but due to the fall it makes sense. Lots of woods. Pro shop: everyone was super nice. Great breakfast and the woman making the food was lovely. ************* HOWEVER ************Here is why I am writing this review. Myself along with two other friends played 18 holes Saturday with a 930 tee time. Not sure if this came into play, but we are all young females. We had a group behind us, and after we tee'd off we drove down to our balls to continue. Mind you as this was the first hole we were not warmed up and were practicing our swing a bit before hitting. As I go to hit the ball the group behind us *yells* "let's go!" Not only was this COMPLETELY inappropriate in general but also to the fact we were on the course and as I hit. What happened to course etiquette?! ** and the Marshall who was right next to this group allowed this?! The players were able to continue to play with this behavior?! Completely unprofessional. Rude. Mind the fact we had a group in front of us as well. We can only go as fast as the group clears in front of us. If there was an issue on our timing, please use some etiquette and manners to have the Marshall handle the situation. At the next hole we confronted the group to let them know how rude it was but to allow them to play ahead to not feel bullied through the game we all equally payed for, regardless of membership status or not. As we played this group of four older men continued ahead of us and we played at about the same speed. Therefore they were not any more fast than we were nor were they able to get ahead far enough that if we were ahead the timing would have been any different. The manners and how people were raised cannot be changed but the Marshall who was RIGHT NEXT to this group should have stepped in. I think it is important to not only address this to the course but to inform other golfers that the Marshall here apparently will not step in to combat an incredibly rude situation and handle it as it should be handled. Can I confirm something was said to these players? No. Were these players able to continue play and to possibly bully other golfers? Yes.

The course is very well maintained. The tree lined fairways hid the greens on all dog legs. The greens were for the most part on the easy side with little undulations and breaks. Water features were great. The staff was the best.

Disagree with some reviews. This is a public course. Always in very good condition and friendly, helpful staff. We travel a good distance to play here. My only semi-negative is that they could use a better practice facility -- but the course itself is great
