Yum, hometown vibes feel. Portions were large , no one was hungry when we left. None of our food was overcooked , all seafood was perfect . We had catfish nuggets , tuna nuggets & shrimp appetizer.Catfish & scallops with hush puppies , coleslaw & green beans Steamed shrimp & French fries ( kids meal )Chicken nuggets & fries Cons - everything is by the bottle except for sweet/unsweetened tea Hush puppies had some extra ingredients ( couldn't pin point it ) not nasty just differentService was okay for a small restaurant we didn't get our drinks until our food arrived , they did get really busy all at once and she apologized. Crab cake was too salty Overall , I'd go again. My kids enjoyed it and asked to if we would come back already.

What a treat to have this place in the small town of Hertford. All the locals I've interacted with so far have recommended this and they are not wrong.Some things to highlight:1. Great Value- You get a ton of food for a reasonable price.2. Delicious, Fresh Seafood and quality sides- The shrimp that came with my entree were so flavorful and plump. You could tell it was really fresh. Plus, many places overlook the sides but I thoroughly enjoyed the collard greens and corn bread- some of the BEST corn bread I've ever had.3. Friendly service- every was pleasant and friendly. Total southern hospitality and laid back atmosphere that I was expecting.My only regret was not getting a dessert but maybe I'll have to go back before I leave :)

Came in on Thursday afternoon for lunch. Restaurant was full. We were seated fairly quickly. Service was prompt, each of us had sweet teas.Food came out in 20 minutes or less and it was amazing. Hush puppies the size of golf balls and moist in the center. Cornbread soft and sweet with out the cornmeal grittiness.Fish plank was thick and melt in your mouth flaky and tender. Scallops were thick and cooked to perfection, not too soft nor too hard.The shrimp were large maybe jumbo and cooked firm without too much breading. This was the only item that seemed slightly over cooked. The waitress was excellent, and we wanted for nothing, I highly recommend. Cheers!

Ordered flounder and what I received was definitely not flounder. I don't know if it was a mistake or if they thought I was stupid and wouldn't know my fish was not flounder. Either way I won't be returning.

You have to try the crab bombs!!!! They are amazing! Would go back just for the crab bombs!

Came here after getting vaccinated down the road. Mostly older folks in there while we ate. I got the fried pickles which were pretty good! My friends got the crab dip and appreciated the freshness of the seafood. For the entree I got the salmon burger which was okay but it was very fresh. The fries were delicious.

Was recommended to us in Edenton because most places were closed due to Memorial Day. I love steamed spiced crabs but they only ha no. 2's which were small. She did tell me that and I asked for heavy Old Bay and they let me have it. They were overcooked, dry. My friend had the oyster poboy and said it was good. Served with a sauce that was tasty. Saw number of fried dishes that looked pretty good. I would not drive out of my way and it is way out there, to go back.

Have always enjoyed the food and the service at this restaurant multiple times. However, service tonight was not a pleasure. Ordered appetizer of hushpuppies only to have them delivered with the meal. When I requested removal from my ticket was told because they were placed on the table and I did not send them back I had to pay for them(couldn't send them back because the waitress never returned to our table. Requested refill of beverage and was bypassed to service another table and at that point I guess they ran out of swet tea because she offered no explanation. I finally got up and requested a to go box because I was not going to finish my meal without some to drink. Lastly, waited at least 5 minutes at the counter to be checked out while staff simply ignored me standing there.

Went there a few weeks ago. Food (Fish n Chips) was so salty I could barely stand to eat it. They were out of fries and onion rings. I got the mashed potatoes and it also was very salty. Service could have been better. I needed more water and I never got it. Waitress was somewhat absent or tending other people while we sat there with empty cups. Finally got up, paid and left.

We were on vacation in Hertford and read reviews that indicated the food was great. Mediocre at best. We did takeout and the place was mobbed. Not sure what they were eating, but fried scallops were meh. Disappointed as it was nearby our rental and we would've loved to re-visit.
