This hotel was okay. To preface, its not a problem with the staff. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and great. Front desk, the younger gentleman setting up breakfast at 430am that was pleasant when I passed him on the way to the gym, etc. Staff was great. The property was just tired. When I got into my room there was ozone machine running on the beat up desk in the room. An ozone machine is never a good sign because now I'm wondering what happened in the room before I checked in. The room smelled damp and old. The carpet was beat and stained. The desk was beat, and bubbling on the top from water damage. The gym was missing dumbells and had no towels in the towel rack. Housekeeping didnt come during my stay. It was just like the property was limping along and the owners/management need to invest time and money updating and repairing everything. One of the elevators was broken, as was the pool. The market next to the front desk was half stocked. It was just dozens of small issues that took away from what a SpringHill Suites should be.The breakfast spread was good with plenty of options which was great. They had an ice cream fridge in the lobby with free ice cream which was a nice plus, especially for kids. It wasnt all bad but to be clear, I wouldnt stay again. I'd try another Marriott property in the area.

Good location at the center of the strip of restaurants and fast food spots on Richmond Rd gives you plenty of eating options. Rooms are spacious, most have a sofa with a pull out trundle for additional sleeping space. The mattresses are comfortable and the shower has good water pressure. The shower and toilet are separate from the sink, so two people can get ready at once. Our room was quiet even though it was next to the elevator so sound proofing is good. The room had a window unit, which, while a bit noisy, kept the room at a good constant temperature. The included breakfast offered eggs, sausage, potato hash, waffle maker, oatmeal and the usual pastries and cold cereals. Not fancy but reasonably tasty and filling.

Stayed a couple nights for business travel. Check in was meh. Didn't get my water. Didn't offer any info about the hotel or amenities. The lobby has an overwhelming smell of air freshener that is nauseating. My room has noticable stains on the furniture. A pink sticky stain near the sink. But the worst thing about the room was the smell. It smelled like wet cigarettes. My nose started running and my whole body got itchy after staying in the room just a few minutes. I'm not sure if this is a pet friendly hotel. I'm allergic to cats, maybe someone had a cat in here I don't know but definitely allergic to something in the room. The toilet randomly ran through the night. The tv signal only worked half the time. The picture was distorted and the TV kept randomly turning off. There is a sports field or something close by that you can hear the crowd and the announcing of the scores and such from the room. Housekeeping did not come during my stay. Not sure what their process is because they told me nothing at check in. Despite all of this the bed was pretty comfortable and other than the outside noise the room was reasonably quiet. They also had gluten free bread and muffins for breakfast. I don't think I'll be back mainly due to the terrible smell and lack of overall cleanliness. But seems to be slim pickings for business travelers to this area. None of the multiple hotels from various chains got very good reviews.

Room smells like feet. Whenever we come to a spring hill suites for some reason the hot tub does not work. So frustrating that things don't work and that they cannot keep up with maintenance on pools and hot tubs. We pay to relax but can't. Probably last time in a Spring Hill

A four and a half star only because the roll in shower set up left water all over the floor. Haha even with the curtain and the extra drain on the floor. Maybe we are just sloppy shower takers. I had booked a handicap accessible room due to my current hopefully "temporary" mobility issues requiring use of adaptive equipment and weight bearing restrictions. Thankfully I was prepared in case the roll in shower didn't have a built in seat, which it did not. I brought along a portable shower chair to use. They did have the handheld shower and two grab bars. I do wish they had placed the shampoo and soap dispensers near the faucet and not at the back of the shower, so that it was more accessible when sitting on the shower chair. The room was large and spacious as most of the Springhill suites are. They had a mini fridge, microwave and sink. The bathroom was of course spacious. Plenty of lighting and a huge sized pull out sofa and twin queen beds. The room was renovated and had blackout curtains. I was able to store my knee scooter and walker and crutches in the room with plenty of room for the other two people with me to move freely around without hazard.Breakfast was included 6:30am-9:30am which included a good selection of PRE packaged foods- including PRE packaged orange juice, apple juice and cranberry juice, milk and bottled water with signs to please take only one of each and a paper bags to carry with you if you choose or an option to sit down at the tables. Other breakfast items all PRE packaged included chocolate, and blueberry muffins, granola-ish bars, 2 hard boiled eggs in a package, instant cup oatmeal- apple cinnamon or maple brown syrup, bananas, oranges or apples. They did have a small hot to go section where you had to use gloves when serving yourself which included scrambled eggs , turkey sausage and bacon with containers to place them in. They also provide coffee and tea. The front desk people were kind and friendly and we were able to do early check in around 1pm. Because I am a Marriott Elite member they provided me with a bottle of water and two snacks(packaged cookies and planter's nuts and chocolate and wipes at check in. This is a nice clean and updated hotel within proximity to lots of restaurants and other hotels! Food for thought you can actually walk to, there's an ice cream shop within walking distance, McDonald's super close, you can walk to Ripley's believe it or not. CVS isn't too far a drive either. It's very conveniently located to Green Springs Interpretative trails, LeYaca and the movie tavern as well. You get the point ! ;-) They have an indoor pool which we didn't utilize and a 24 hour indoor gym. Plenty of parking! Highly recommend! Ps I checked in on Yelp and you get a free beverage from the market. Oh and they do have hair dryers!

Review of my stay from January 13-15 2023. Front desk clerk professional, check-in was quick. She asked my floor preference, which didn't matter. However, when I mentioned the first floor, she assigned me to a room on the third floor. Oh well, no problem.Good suite, clean and tidy! Normal mini-refrigerator and microwave. Great! I found the third floor quiet. Bedding comfortable. Good night's sleep for two nights. A crack was found in the ceiling above the living area (couch) though. Some leaves (tree leaves), were found under the trash can in the living area of the suite. A/C unit clean, one of the best. Good for one with allergies. Drapery appeared in top-notch shape. This place had the appearance of a re-model/ work. Furniture good to go and appeared up to date. The bathroom was found clean. Towels were plenty, but missing one large towel. Hot water, great pressure. However, the shower curtain was a tad bit small, a bit of water found its way to the floor.Suite had two TVs. One in front of the bed, the other facing the couch. Two different TV channels at once. Great! But, remotes were slow to change channels and volume. Grounds cleans, appeared to be kept up, the lobby was super. Parking was plenty, well lighted. Food and drink nearby. Outlet mall a few miles away. Not far from attractions. Check-out was simple. When in Williamsburg, VA, I'll stay here if the price is on point. Highly recommended!

We had to move rooms bc there was an ant infestation around the beds. The elevator was so creaky and bumpy that I didn't even need to go to Busch gardens for roller coasters. The elevator was one, and not in the fun way. Breakfast was okay, the furniture is rusty and dirty. The beds were moderately comfy, and the Wi-Fi was so slow. But if u choose to stay here do it at ur own risk.

We stayed here November 2023. I would not recommend this hotel. Our room had bed begs. We notified the manager and she did absolutely nothing about it. I showed her the pictures. Maintenance came and found evidence of bed bugs. I go back out to the manager and she tells me there is nothing they can do and they have no other rooms.

This hotel has bed bugs, please do not stay here. We have time stamped pictures and video. The Manager just brushed us off. The supervisor at customer care only wanted to give us a few points for our troubles. My best friend is an attorney and we will go that route.
