Sportspage Bar & Grille

Went there a couple of weeks ago and got some gumbo and chili cheese hot dogs, gumbo was good but not great the hot dogs were awesome, I love a fat dog and these were perfect drowning in chili and cheese and onion (which needed to be chopped up a little more)great service and a good meal for a good price, what more can you ask for

I met a friend of mine on a Sunday afternoon to watch NFL games as they have every game. I was quickly seated after arriving at 12:30 and the waitress took my drink order. They have a good variety of local beers on tap as well as the traditional Bud, Coors, etc. they have a Sunday special on steamed shrimp that is really good and I always recommend the home made potato chips. I have had great luck with their wings. My buddy got the boneless wings and they were not done all the way and we sent them back. The manager came over and apologized and proceeded to take them off the bill and give us new ones which was nice. Their wraps are really good and their sandwiches as well. It's a great spot to watch games and everyone was friendly.

I want to start by saying this is my second visit. My first visit was late night after a concert out past kings dominion. We called to make sure they were open, and despite closing in 30 min from when we arrived ( since they were closing early) they were kind enough to let us order anything from the appetizers that was fried. I ordered the sampler platter to try a bit of everything and it was good. We left when the vacuuming started exactly the time they said they would close. We were happy to of had food at all that night and we were done so it was fine.Yesterday mid afternoon not sure what we were in the mood for, we thought we would give this place a chance and try something from the rest of the menu. This place had a lot of patrons but we were seated right away, they had a tons of booths open and they each have a tv to watch your game on. It is quite large and it looks like a lot of sports teams here after games, as they seemed to get more large parties that 4 tops when I was there. The bar seating was very full as was the outside and the other big room to accommodate larger groups. There are a TON of tv's in this place, so definitely a great place to go watch a game, enjoy a happy hour beer and take your family if you want to as it was family friendly. Our waitress was nice and patient, we ordered jalapeño poppers since they were spicy the first time we stopped in late night ( not as much this time). Oddly our food came out about 3 min after our appetizer for some reason despite placing that order about 15 min prior. We ordered the Sports page Philly with fries, which was delicious so we took 2 orders to go. We tried the Philly wrap with fries, and it was more like a burrito which my daughter enjoyed. I tried the Buffalo chicken Cobb salad, with the extra spicy sauce. The salad was huge and fresh, I will say the items are cut up huge, so it took a while to be able to eat as you have to cut it all up for a bite. Despite that is was ok and the ranch was delicious!!! I would consider getting this again but I would ask for the sauce on the side, (it was NOT spicy) because the chicken breast was not tossed in the sauce it was drizzled on top it made the fried chicken soggy and the breading came off. We ordered soft drinks since they were on draft, but I was bummed that we were never offered or given a refill of soda (2.90 each) or water despite having empty glasses majority of the time. I don't like to ask as I want to leave an honest review of my experience. Perhaps our waitress got busy in another area because she came back to grab the to go orders, and then immediately returned to bring us to go boxes the bill and cash it out. We paid at least 10 min before the to go order arrived, and it would of been nice to of had something to drink while we were waiting.I would recommend this place if you want good affordable food, in a super casual environment where you can bring children. I would come back and grab a sandwich and fries if I was in the area.

Delicious wings! The gold sauce, for me, was to die for. Real meaty and crispy wings! 2 thumbs up. Great sports atmosphere as well.

The food was very tasty and the place has great ambiance for a sports bar. Lots of TVs to watch the game. Kind, considerate, and pleasant service. Major downside was the numerous overweight, overinked, middle-aged, inebriated rednecks occupying the bar area engaging in pointless noisy arguments (e.g. "Is Gatorade poison?") and other irritating hijinks. Another reviewer here mentioned a large, loud blonde woman you could hear cackling from the restroom. The resident drunk? Seems like she was there for sure on this occasion. If you see any of these characters here, you did not choose the best time to visit this establishment. But this is not the fault of management. It is a nice sports bar. But the clientele we witnessed brought this review down from a four-star to a three-star review.

They have the best wings hands down! Food comes fast, very friendly people, and a good place for family

Have tried a lot of their dishes and they were quite tasty . Wings are Great, there's a special Burger nite and the crew there is friendly and professional as well !!! Other customers all friendly, what are you waiting for; give your family a treat and stop on buy !!! 5 Stars !!!

I went to sports page again yesterday for lunch. Sports page definitely has some of the best wings you'll find in Mechanicsville and their fries were great also. Their service was good and the ambiance was what you would expect for a wing place. Overall sports page is always a good lunch or dinner spot I definitely recommend.

Great burgers, wings, fries, and chili. We love Sportspage! Also love being able to catch multiple basketball or football games!

Piss warm beer!!! Just what everyone expects when they order a draft. Sad part is, it's been this way for years and either the management doesn't care or they've never had one of their draft beers. Food is hit or miss again, been like this for years
