Southern Shores Pizza

While we were in the Outer Banks, I had to try a local pizza place. Southern Shores Pizza is conveniently located right off the main road with plenty of parking. Inside was very clean and the staff was great. We got a large pie with pepperoni and an order of the cauliflower Buffalo bites. The pizza was very good. Cheese was very good and the sauce was flavorful. The crust was a little too thick for my liking but that's a personal preference. Buffalo bites were decent. Nothing special. My son is a Buffalo sauce enthusiast and he didn't care for them. All in all, a solid pizza place to go to.

I was staying at the Hilton Garden Inn and ordered the large Works pizza. It arrived in 35 minutes and the pizza was out standing and I mean outstanding.

Grabbed a pizza last night from Southern Shores and it was outstanding!Highly recommend these guys if you're in this neck of the OBX

Mostly just a carry out. We ordered a large "The works". Comes with sausage, pepperoni, onions, green peppers and mushrooms. Slices are very large. Usually we eat two slices each. We could only eat 1 1/2 each. The whole pizza was 8 slices. Crust is on the thin side which is fine with me. Sauce and cheese were a good amount. Price was lower than some places. We really enjoyed it.

We ordered Southern Shores on a whim during vacation and we couldn't have been more impressed by the delicious meat lover Sicilian pizza, chicken pesto pizza, and cheese and pepperoni that we received. We went in with super low expectations (just because it was a last minute decision on a cold night) and we're absolutely blown away by how tasty everything was. Make sure you check this place out!

Ordered delivery. Took forever. Arrived soggy. Could have been decent pizza if it hadn't disintegrated upon picking up a slice. You gotta wonder when pizza places are gonna use a better delivery container. The old standard just isn't making the grade. This experience was a prime example. Terrible.

We ordered a large pizza and buffalo cauliflower and it was absolutely delicious! Everyone loved both. The pizza tasted fresh and high quality. I'll be coming back again when in OBX.

Really good pizza! We got the works and it was amazing, and they had super delicious garlic knots !

3.5 Stars for this Pizza Carry-Out Review:Our group of 10 ordered 3 pizzas (pepperoni, Margherita, and vegetarian) and 2 sides. The sides (fries and rings) were smaller in portion than we anticipate and was not really enough for 10 to share, esp the rings. The fries were nice and crispy. The pizza's were decent but also nothing memorable- they tasted overly salty per the group consensus.Service was on par for a pizza and deli shop.Everything was on the smaller portion side in comparison to the price. I might stop by a more affordable place down the road based on the price and taste (so sorry).

Super fast walk in service, heard them telling phone orders it was going to be about an hour... but they assured me I'd be out quickly. 12mins later I had my pizza. Kind staff and good pizza for a reasonable price.
