Snow Bird Burgers & Cones

This is a nice quick spot for ice cream, snow cones and beach going food. It's right by a semi-busy street so you'll get the street noise as cars drive by. It's near a public access spot to the beach. So if you can walk over for lunch or a snack. We just had ice cream and snow cones which were both pretty good.

First time ever going to this place and it didn't disappoint. Very neat establishment and very very friendly staff. A lot of different menu options and ice cream options. Ended up getting the Dolphin boat. Which was very good! And very filling! They did forget the tartar sauce but I still had my ranch I asked for. Pricing was pretty good as well, we got 4 meal (boats) & ice cream, came out to like $68 which wasn't bad for all we got. Overall very good place! Will be coming back to try other stuff!!

Yummmmmm. After two failed attempts to get some ice cream at other locations - we came here. There was no line and we had super friendly service as the gal at the window was very sweet and helpful and let us taste the Dole whip flavor of the day (which was pineapple and strawberry) which can also be swirled. She answered all our questions and was very patient and friendly. The vibe here is chill and awesome. I like that you walk up and order at the window. They had the menu on a wall. Lots of food too, it's not just ice cream, with tons of outdoor picnic seating and some covered high tops by the window. The soft serve was so good. Very smooth and creamy. The portion was huge in a cup for $5 and my husband and I shared it and couldn't finish it. Would absolutely come back for a gyro and more soft serve!

Stopped in for a Quick Dinner on a recommendation of a friend. Wife had steamed shrimp, onion rings and hush puppies. I had the steak and cheese with fries. Hush puppies didn't have much flavor and were kind of hard, other than that everything was very delicious. We will definitely return.

Nice little place in Nags Head, although I wouldn't go out of my way for it. We got gyros, fries, and a milkshake. Everything was hot and tasty, zero complaints. We took it to go and ate it back at our rental house, but it's close to the beach access, you could eat on the beach, or under their canopy at the handful of tables they have on the patio.

Yum! Had to get some IceCream on my vacation. This turned out to be my dinner!! I had a chocolate Fudge ice cream thing. It was big and very yummy in my tummy. I could go here every day for dinner/dessert.

Friends had recommended Snow Bird for a grab and go lunch- SO GLAD WE DID! No pics because food was gone before I could take one we did shrimp boat with onion rings- good portion, shrimp large and lightly breaded, ample onion rings (standard is fries, but can sub for $2) my friend did the double fish tacos- slaw & pico very good! Said fries very good too! 4 thumbs up! Hut on side of beach road, grab & go!

Great selection of ice cream and food. Have eaten there 3 out of our 4 days here, and ice cream every night. Friendly and polite staff ! Many tables available but it get crowded especially around closing time. Will be back again tonight

After a couple places we stopped by were closed (or didn't have patios for our pup), out of desperation (my word, not my husband's) we stopped here for a casual roadside lunch). Everyone but me had burgers- my mom said hers was a tad dry. I got the mahi taco, which wasn't bad just deep fried. (Everything seemed to be fried here...). Terrible beer selection - PBR was the best option :(.

Yesterday, great, but today, seriously??? No milk to make a milkshake??? Somebody run to the grocery store for goodness sake. And no, I do not want to use soft serve for it. Crinkle cut fries still hot and crispy.09/30/24 - I stand by my review of yesterday. Yes, I understand that when things slow down, you must parcel out supply so as not to incur waste, but when 1/3 of your menu is ice cream items, and people DO want authentic milkshakes with ice cream AND milk, it would not hurt you to keep a little on hand. And I personally do not like soft serve as it is not as intense in chocolate flavor.
