It's like being in the 90s again. I hope whoever buys it doesn't do too much to it. Obviously new carpet, better tables, and faster food would be nice. I'd buy it if I could just to keep it going. My daughter loves going there to skate and we live probably 25 minutes away.

This place is okay. To be honest, the roller blades and skates are garbage. All 4 pairs I tried either didn't buckle, the padding was fall apart, or they just didn't fit (no half sizes). The rink isn't terrible, but it's obvious that it's minimally maintained to keep it just good enough. Decent enough for a kids birthday party, but I doubt I'd just go to just go.

This was my first time visiting and it was for a work function so the rate was different. My first thought was Smithfield should have a skating rink because it's a nice old classic town and the two deserve to be together. Reminds me of where I grew up and visiting the local skating rink on Fridays is what we did as teens. I arrived at night and the parking lot is lit so that's a good start! You walk in to a entry full of doors. I went to the first window where a person was sitting whom directed me through another door to the actual rink. The place is very spacious. The first thing I see is a video game area located in the middle of the floor. You can also see the skating rink as well as the concession area. You turn in your sneakers for some wheels. I like this for several reasons. There is no clutter of shoes in the walkway and shoes are right where you left them. The concession area had quite a few booths and tables to sit in. The prices were reasonable and the variety was typical of fast food. Pizza, fries, soda and pretzels to name some items. There was music, lights and games offered during our skate night and I did enjoy myself. I wod love to go back with my family again. You know the more times you go the better you get, right? Just like riding a bike.

I don't know many places that have a skating rink, so the fact that this is here at all is great. It was super fun when I was a kid, although I found it kind of grimy even then. I'd love to hang out there more often, but the main customers seem to be young children. It's not all bad, glad kids have a place to hang out, but as far as I can tell, there's no spot in town for teenagers. The general layout has always been my favorite part, the check-in lobby in great, a good shoe/skate exchange system in place, the rink itself is spacious with good lights, and the food and gaming areas are a great addition. My main two complaints are the cleanliness and narrow demographic. Between my observations and horror stories from friends who used to work there, it's the kind of place where you'll want a full shower if you trip and fall on the floor (not the best to wear skates on) and the food quality is dodgy at best. Tasty, but some previous employees have told me about mold in the ice machine. This actually leads into my next thought, which is that cleanliness of the place is really only something most people notice when they're older. The place is crawling with little kids, and as such feels more like a Chuck-E-Cheese than a general hangout. They really only play the same types of music, which might not be best to attract an older crowd. A roller disco night might remedy this, or other themed days to vary the music and this the age group. With all the athletically minded kids in Smithfield, I have no doubt the roller rink would be more popular with teenagers if it was a little cleaner and was a bit more diverse in music choice.

The floor is nicer than many in the area, and feels like glass! Very welcoming for beginners, and prices are great! During Covid you have to wear a mask while skating just like every other rink. It's a small-town place and people are friendly and helpful. The

Cheap place to go to for fun. 3 stars because the only two pairs of size 13 skates not being used both had worn right sub soles that made skating painfull. First pair was missing a nut to secure a rivet that was sticking out. Second pair had a ridge line of leather on the left side of the heel. The skate trade-in person tried to help but there was nothing more he could do.

The one thing going for this place is that it is the closest skating rink to Suffolk. I cant remember the pricing but it is fairly cheap. The place is pretty disgusting and needs to be updated. Where do I start. The skates and roller blades are horrible. Every pair of skates I get there either dont roll or they dont roll straight. The food is horribly bad and bad for you. The entire place needs to be cleaned including the food area and the bathrooms. Almost all of the video games are too old or they are broken. Probably the best thing about the place is that I saw a batting cage outside and the actual rink is in pretty good shape. Not sure if they have the money to update the space, but it needs it. My kids dont really know the difference but I would think that they could at least clean the place up.Also, the kids that work there are not helpful or very nice to the young children. Disappointing.

Nice folks & a fun place to go.Had a neighborhood skating party there and skating fee was reasonable , pizzas and ice cream were great and everyone had a great time .Then my husband and I had a nice skate during the adult skate time. I personally would have liked a greater variety of music ( different genres) with fast and slow rhythms. But overall truly enjoyed myself the times I've gone! So get out & skate!
