Doc!
Beautiful vineyard in the woods. The owners are very sweet and the meritage wine is great. Relaxing peaceful place.

An amazing find in a neck of the woods that isn't known for wine country. I didn't know what to expect, but was blown away how good they are, especially given how this is a smaller winery.Skipper's Creek has 5 acres of vines and makes under 1000 cases/year. Co-owner Chuck was joking that he likes having a day job since it lets him afford hiring people to do some of the 'farm' work, letting him concentrate on the wine making. Well, his division of labor seems to be working out well, because out of the entire lineup, I liked-to-loved everything. Prices were exceptionally good too.2013 Chardonnay: Blended with 20% Viognier, made in steel. Lemongrass notes and tangy/tart finish.2014 Chardonnay: Blended in American Oak & steel. I don't have good tasting notes but I remember liking it.2015 Chardonnay: Oak and steel, buttery nose and notes of oak and butterscotch.2014 Viognier: Made in steel, melon flavor.2015 Viognier: I can't find my wine tasting notes, but I remember it was ok.2014 Merriwether red blend: 60% Cab Franc, 20% Petit Verdot, 20% Merlot. Black cherry nose & finish. My friend bought a bottle (and at $19 it was a steal).2014 Malbec: Soft cherry notes; a real winner! Aged in Hungarian Oak for 2 years. I rarely find Malbecs in this area (and Chuck admitted it didn't grow exceptionally well) but was very good, especially at $21 a bottle. Bought two.2014 Petit Verdot: Good, but the way they pressed the grapes resulted in the wine not having the tannins that I'm accustomed too in PVs (I'm a Tannin-fanatic). Also aged in Hungarian oak for 2 years.

Small, family-owned vineyard. Chuck and Debbie were great! Had friendly conversation while they gave us our wine samples for $5.We then ordered a delicious bottle of rose' and drank it in the gazebo. The set up at skipper creek is great. A good amount of space with a very zen-like vibe. If you're looking for a winery that's a bit smaller, but still great, go to Skipper's Creek Vineyard!

We had a lovely experience here. We arrived 30 mins before closing and stayed well past, and they treated us like VIPs. The Viognier is delicious (I prefer the older vintage, 2015 more delicious than 2019) and my husband loved the Cab Franc and the rosé. The prices were so reasonable and the owners are just the kindest people. Awesome customer service. Can't wait to come back. Thank you both so much!

Small vineyard, cozy tasting room. All wines are very drinkable - not too sweet, not too dry. Pack a nibbles picnic, play some horseshoes and have a nice relaxing day.

WOW such amazing wines! Everyone in the family liked each wine they tried. We recently got back from a trip to Sonoma and agreed that Skipper's Creek wines rivaled those from the wineries we visited in CA.

We decided to check out this local winery since we enjoyed their wine at Festival of the Grape. After a slight detour thanks to GPS, we found this delightful destination tucked into the woods. The 7 wines we tasted were all excellent, especially considering how small a production they have. Sam was very personable and welcoming. Enjoying a glass of wine outside with some complimentary snacks was a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Chuck and Debbie do it right! Quaint winery, nestled among 5 acres of vines from which they make all their wines. All their wines were well above average to excellent. Not a sweet wine guy, but even their sweet wine was good and interesting in that it was a Merlot done as a white wine. Their other wines include Chardonnay, Viognier, Merlot, and Merriwether (which is a Cab Franc/Merlot blend...my fav).Chuck and Debbie are supper friendly and just fun to talk with. Chuck did our pouring and was very knowledgeable about the wines, wine making, etc. There is room inside and outside for seating, including a gazebo. My only complaint is not about them, but WAZE took us to the wrong location, as they are down a dirt road that starts near the address. So put that address in your GPS, then follow the signs from there.

Signs for the Winery were hand written and hard to see. The wine was ok, we bought 2 bottles. The hostess was not very friendly and bordering on being rude when we asked questions. We won't be returning.
