SK8 House Newport News

We were invited to a birthday party at Sk8 House over the weekend and we had a blast! As soon as we walked in, I was shocked at the size of the skating rink. From the outside it looked pretty small but it was much more spacious than I thought! Our party was in the Orange Room. This location has 3 party rooms, I believe, and they were all pretty spacious but unfortunately ours was very warm. They actually had to bring us a fan to cool down the room. The pizza that was served was very good though and the staff were very nice and accommodating. The room was only available for an hour and a half but that was ample time for us to eat and enjoy each other before skating. Once we got our skates on, we had a ball. The skate floor was very smooth which made the skating that much more enjoyable.Overall, I would definitely recommend booking a party at Sk8 House or just stopping in to skate. It's fun for all ages. This location is in a plaza but it's very easy to find. I'm not the best skater but it's always fun getting out there and having a good time skating with friends.

The location is a lot bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. It is located in a large shopping area so parking is not an issue. The facility is large on the inside and very spacious. The skating rink itself is large. The only issue I have with the place is that there does not seem to be many rules as far as skating is concerned. at the time that I went, it was open for all ages to skate however, little kids with the training walker were out on the main floor getting in other skaters way, sometimes causing them to fall because they were cut directly in front of them on the skating rink. In other skating rinks in the area kids that need the training walker to skate are told to stay in the training skate area. This needs to happen at this skating rink also or some people will get injured.

I do not recommend this skating rink at all! I came in with my family and I was there for ten minutes and a fight started. We had to get off from the floor and then police officers showed up. One of the employees told me I unfortunately I couldn't get a refund if I was there more than 30 mins due to their policy. Thankfully to the manager I was able to get a refund because I rented a locker room and it had my receipt showing my time of arrival. I do not recommend this place for a group of family who don't want problems. Not a great environment!!! The music was good but not worth it.

Do NOT come here. We ordered our food about an hour before we received it. They were able to complete everybody's order but ours until we said something multiple times to find out that the order was never started. Everyone else ordered after us AND received their order before us. The customer service is terrible, the workers were walking away in the middle of our conversation with attitude. I would not recommend this place to anybody especially if you have anger or severe BBS (Big Back Syndrome)
