This formerly thriving market has been steadily dwindling. My guess is that it's because they don't retain veggie venders. I would love to see this market actively seek veggie folks and return to its former glory days because it's a great location for us Shore Drive residents.

So excited this is here! I usually drive a good distance to hit other markets and farm stands. There were farm stands, bakeries, meat markets, jewelry, homemade soaps, honey, coffee and more. Right now there are 15 vendors, but they are hoping for more in the future. I am extra excited about it being open year round! Yay! Don't forget you can follow them on Facebook. Their page is titled "Shore Drive Farmarket".

As an oceanfront resident, I have been to the Saturday farmer's market held in the parking lot of Croc's Restaurant on 19th St a few times. I was excited to learn about a new Saturday market held on Shore Drive. I'm afraid it was a disappointment. I would have given less than 3 stars but I like to support local businesses, the concept is fantastic (although it misses the mark), and pets are welcome.. the biggest negative is the cost. Most everything was ridiculously overpriced. Parking was easy enough to find when I arrived around 10am. (They are open every Saturday from 9am-Noon.)Culipher Farms' produce looked old and was overpriced. Go to Henley Farms in Pungo. The French Patisserie charged me $10 for a small croissant and a small apple bear claw but only gave me the bear claw. Everything was overpriced. No deals at any tents. Crafts were very expensive and basically just local businesses that already have store fronts in the area. Not what I would call a farmer's market. $12 for a loaf of bread... $.75 EACH EAR of corn. No deals.

I give it a 4 star mainly based on Cullipher Farms being there. Although I enjoy bakeries and coffee, etc I mainly go to stock up on produce. They are slammed every Saturday. Be prepared to battle the crowds under the Cullipher tent!
