First time here and it was a good experience. We started with hibachi chicken fried rice for the little on and he loved it so much. For sushi we ordered 3 rolls sweet heart, cherry blossom and shiki. The cherry blossom and shiki rolls could use some more fish but all in all good stuff. The tuna and salmon sashimi were very generous portions. The prices are also very reasonable.

Best sushi in the 757. Romantic date roll is my go to. I've tried 16 out of 24 of their rolls and romantic date is still my favorite. City hall roll is a close second. Their chicken/steak/shrimp fried rice is also impeccable. I've tried plenty of other sushi spots but nothing compares to shiki.

I made reservations for 6 of us on a Friday evening just in case they were really busy. Turns out they were just the opposite. There were sign everywhere posted that they were in need of servers and cooks. The place was empty except for 1 booth. The server was a young lady that seemed very anxious. We were a happy bunch and so I know we weren't rude to her, but she just seemed out of sorts. We all ordered appetizers, drinks, and our food. We all basically got either hibachi or sushi rolls. Everything was delicious. I must point out that their cucumber salad is unlike anywhere else we've been. Instead of a vinegar based sauce, the cucumber salad was a creamy consistency. Still yummy. Just very different. Everything was delish. The server did a wonderful job. I would definitely come here again!

I've visited Shiki Sushi and Hibachi (SSAH) twice now. This is one of my sister-in-laws favorite restaurants. It's located in the same shopping center as the Kroger on Mount Pleasant. MY SIL was treating me for my birthday, so I picked SSAH so she could enjoy the treat as well. I mean she was paying, it was the least I could do haha.Both times I have been there, it's been with her and all of ours kids. The staff has always been nice and patient with our crew. Both times, it has been for lunch.- Noms - Bento Boxes - you get a choice of miso soup or salad; choice of dumpling; choice of teriyaki protein; choice of rice (upcharge for fried rice); choice of roll. I've had steak before and on the most recent visit was salmon. Both are great! The bento box special can't be beat, especially with the generous portions. The rolls are slightly bigger than most places. I really feel like I am getting my money's worth LOL.Shrimp Tempura - to be honest, I was not a fan of this appetizer. My youngest is obsessed with shrimp tempura so I almost always order the shrimp tempura app. The freshness of the ingredients was not the issue, my disappointment was with the tempura breading. There was just too much and it was way to crispy. You get 2 pieces of veg (sweet potato and zucchini) and 3 shrimps. I could have done without this app and note to self: skip it next time.Yellowtail jalapeno app - I thought it was good, but not the best I've had. I feel like the sauce needs more citrus. It was fresh though.Fried oysters - They came out a lot bigger than I expected so ordering this might have been overkill, since I had ordered the Yellowtail app, shrimp tempura app and the bento box to share with my daughter. I'm no quitter, so I pushed through LOL. The oysters have a nice crispy exterior and served with what tasted like Tonkatsu sauce. Pretty good!We've also requested special items since one of my nephews is such a picky eater and they've always been patient and willing to accomodate.It's a great spot for lunch, the staff is nice and the food is fresh and portions are generous. I was working in the area and decided to stop here for lunch. We were welcomed when we went in. I ordered the 3 roll lunch rolls with miso soup. I ordered the salmon roll, the tuna roll and shrimp roll. The play came and there was a lot of food on the plate. It was all very good and fresh. I also had a glass of ice tea. Plenty of tables.
