The bread! It comes out warm and fragrant. Absolutely delicious- vegetarians can order fuul and a clay pot sizzling vegetable bowl. We also ordered hummus. It was plenty of food and bread. Plus they have cute little enclaves you can sit in with your family or group. Super cozy and fun.

I went here about a month ago with my friend. This is quite possibly the best restaurant I've been to in Hampton Roads. Everything about this meal was amazing, including the tea. The lady taking care of us recommended the adeni tea, which is a spiced hot tea, so we ordered that. We ordered the mutapq as our appetizer, lamb fahsa and chicken fahsa as our entrees, and arika for dessert. Everything was 10/10! The portions are very generous and everything tasted amazing. The entrees came with either bread or rice so we ordered one of each and shared. It was enough food for two meals, easily. The restaurant looks like it was just renovated. Everything was very clean and decorated nicely. I will absolutely be back!

Incredible service. We were served by a very helpful staff of whom we think is the owner. Unfortunately we didn't get to ask his name but he was extremely friendly and accommodating and was quite kind to us as new customers. We got seated in one of the private room booths which had very comfortable, spacious seats and it was very private as well. We ordered two lamb haneeths, adeni chai tea, sahaweg with cheese and absolutely enjoyed them all. The lamb haneeths were fall off the bone tender with generously portioned meaty pieces of lamb. The basmati rice was very flavorful, I could eat it on its own. The chai tea was also nice and sweet and creamy. The sahaweg and cheese was also a nice light appetizer. My fiancé and I enjoyed everything. The place wasn't very busy at the time so the service was super fast. We appreciate the man who rung us up and served our meal. He was very generous and kind. I wish we could have driven back and thanked him in person. :)We highly recommend this place! We will be coming back to hopefully try the desserts as well. I hope more people come to support this establishment. It's one of the more authentic dining experiences in the area.Additional bonus points that their bathrooms have bidets!

I visited here with a friend and let me tell you. The service was beyond amazing, not sure it could have been better, almost like we were family when we walked in. The food we got we could have shared the portions are generous and extremely yummy. And it was pretty fast and could tell it was fresh. This might be my new favorite spot

My first time here and first time having yemen cuisine. I ordered the MUTAPQ, HUMMUS and lamb. The flavors were different but in a good way I like trying new things. The MUTAPQ was greasy and uncut but had good flavor. The HUMMUS was good but for the price I felt they could have been a bit more generous with the portion but the bread that came with it was amazing and tasted fresh made and you get two. The lamb was like a stew and had great flavor but it did not come with the rice and chutney as described in the menu. This place was far out of my way and I wasnt driving back so use the extra bread from the hummus. I would try this place again but I would make sure I got everything that I ordered.

This place is tucked away in a spot that only people who know about it would know it's there. The food was soooooooo good. It's definitely authentic and delicious. We had both the Lamb and Chicken Fahsa and it was great! The lamb especially was full of flavor. Will be coming back!!!

Food was delicious, service was on point and we enjoyed our food. We are from out of town and came to Williamsburg for the holidays. The place is nicely put together & they have private rooms to dine in for more privacy. We plan to come back here again while we are in Williamsburg. I highly recommend this place!

We visited Shibam for dinner. Quaint little family owned restaurant off the main road. Clean and neat. Greeted with a friendly smile and quickly seated. Our server helped us order as it was our first visit. We tried the chicken zurbian which was delicious! Delicate spices and extremely flavorful. Very large serving size. The Kefta kabab was similar to the Turkish version, but seemed more flavorful. The dessert was amazing and hard to describe all the flavors--bread, dates, cream, butter--just delicious! If you are craving authentic Yemeni cuisine or want to try something different, definitely visit this family owned and run restaraunt. We will definitely be back!

The food was excellent with very large portions for an affordable price. I had never tried Yemeni food before, but Omar provided some excellent recommendations and guidance on ordering. The tables are well spaced and provide a private dining experience without having to worry about being too close to other tables. The generous portion size means you should order with the idea of sharing in mind with a group of people. Highly recommend the chicken Agda with Masoob for dessert. The bread served with scurries is quite large and enough for 2-3 people to share. Definitely will return to try more!
