Shake Shack Newport News

I had been to a shake shack 10 years ago and this one opened up near us so tried them out again. My husband enjoyed his burger (got a double ) and I got a chicken sandwich and we shared fries. They are good but don't really understand the hype. The fries for the price were a little small. Service was a little slow but it was Sunday lunch time, so busy. The restaurant is not overly large but has a mix of tables and booths. A very small parking lot.

The place is brand new and opened early and my family could not be happier! The parking lot is a little tricky to get into, but once you're parked, prepare yourself for a really good burger experience!When we arrived on a late Thursday afternoon, the line was just out the door. They do have some seating inside. The place was clean and run like a well-oiled machine. We ate at one of the tables and service was friendly and courteous. A couple of managers stopped by our table to either ask us if we wanted water or napkins, or to ask how our experience was. (It was great!)The menu is fairly limited with burgers, chicken sandwiches, a hot dog or grilled cheese. French fries, shakes and soda rounded out the selections. We all opted for burgers, shakes and fries. It was a little higher priced than I expected to pay but the food really was very good. We are already planning when we can go back. When we left, the line was out the door and down the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. Go early if you can. They aren't set up in their app yet, but when they do get set up, we will order ahead and save some time. I wish them huge success and look forward to eating there again. It really was delicious and the vibe was just right. My kids are already choosing what they will order next time. That's when you KNOW it's good!

Everyone is super friendly and the food was delicious. Burgers were cooked perfectly, fries were addicting and I even found my new favorite shake!

There was no service to speak of, you order on an iPad type device. This agitated me a little, and the young man at the counter noticed and wanted to comp me. I turned it down. The place was very clean The staff was very friendly. The food was fresh. I had a burger and fries and a vanilla milkshake. I just wanted something basic, since it was my first time there. It was delicious and I appreciated the staff.

The food tasted good and so did the drinks. But in what world do you think the average American is going to come back on a regular basis when spending $30 on two burgers and two drinks? The burgers size wise are closer to a slider than an actual meal burger size. So as an adult, I spent $15 and I'm still hungry. Shame on you.

The food is currently consistent as the other out-of-state shake shacks.Service was pretty good too although at current time you're not able to order online, which is slightly annoying.

I has heard a lot about Shack Shack, and what I was told was true. Location is excellent but the parking lot is tricky...this one and the parking lot for First Watch are tied for being the a most challenging in the city. Anyway, once you get inside you could order at a kiosk or at the counter. Help was friendly and answered every question in a very polite manner. Atmosphere is clean and modern but not cold or uninviting. My double burger, fries and shake were tasty and very filling along from being brought to your table. If you are looking for a $.99 stand in line burger place this is not it. This is much better than that, and it shows. I plan on going back when the mood strikes me.

Today is T-Mobile Tuesday, so I decided to use the Promotion for Shake Shack. The Staff was friendly, inviting and helpful! I placed a to go order (burger with bacon, fries and small strawberry lemonade). My burger was okay, the fries were okay. I asked for the shacksauce on the side, I didn't get it and because of the way they pack the to go orders my food was cold when I got home. I think Shake Shack is a bit pricey my order without promo code $21, if I have to pay full price, I will not be returning.

Shake Shack is Awesome the food is great Very good service. I am glad we finally got one in New Port news I wish we had one in Williamsburg. The manager Lebatho Idibouo(Bou) came over and introduced himself and ask how our food was.

Although I don't care for McDonald's, it's gourmet compared to Shake Shack!My burger was wafer thin and terribly burnt with tiny pieces of bacon and some chunky spicy tomato pieces. I paid extra for a gluten free bun, which was frozen and wet in the middle along with being stale. It fell apart in my hands. My friend ordered a burger too and said his was wafer thin and overcooked with a little bit of lettuce and tiny tomato. The fries we each ordered were cold and tasteless with no seasoning, yuck!The drink was very sweet and my friend's milk shake was very sweet too.This was the worst burger lunch I've ever had and very overpriced.Needless to say, I will not be back!
