Seven Sounds Brewing Company

What an awesome location! I love when a brewery takes over a big old building and does something great with it.The interior is old warehouse; bare concrete floor, a huge cavernous space with super tall ceilings, but it manages to feel cozy. The outside seating area is right on the water and has a bunch of tables strewn about and would be a great spot to spend a summer evening.Service is kind of meh, at least when we went. It's off season, so maybe they don't have as many people working, but it's not a huge deal. Order at the bar, start a tab and bring your glasses back up after finishing...I only had the Amber and Double IPA, and both were good. I'm hating the fact that every brewery insists on making every IPA hazy/juicy, but that's just what's in now... No complaints about the beers themselves, just the trends.This could be a really fun place during peak season as it seems that it could accommodate a massive amount of people, but I'm glad we got to check it out off season and just enjoy the outside and interior ambiance.

We would have liked to try the beer. My sister and I came in, waited at the front bar, looked at the merch, walked to the back bar... no one to help us. A guy at the end of the bar, playing solitaire on his computer, had a Seven Sounds tshirt on. I asked if he worked there. He said he did but wasn't "on the clock." He motioned to go to the back. We said we tried that. He said someone "should" be helping us. We left and went to Ghost Harbor... great atmosphere and beer. Won't be back to Seven Sounds.

Excellent beer! Great ambiance with seating inside and outside! Staff was very friendly and helpful. They take pride in the artwork and beer. I tried the hazy and it was a classic taste. I would definitely go back

I love seven sounds. Everything I wish Elizabeth City was is sparked by this place. The brewery is docked right on the water which makes for amazing summer time drinking. If you are on a bike cruising this a must stop. The inside vibe is super relaxing. They have a decent brew selection and nearby food. As well there is another brewery within walking distance. The staff is always warm and welcoming and the facilities are always clean. Check this place out on your next Sunday drive.

Looks are deceiving... you'd think it's a storefront when you walk in... but it opens up to a great outdoor patio and bar! Right on the water and the site is pretty! They also have rooftop seating (it was closed for a private event when we were there).Beer selection is good and they have wine! (Bonus!). No food, but they allow you to bring in outside food. We walked over to the mexican place a block away (great food and price)They had live music the night we were there so that's a plus!

Looks like a normal brewery on the front. But this place is huuuggeeee! There's plenty of room! Upstairs, outside, patio....rooftop! Kid friendly with various kids toys and activities available. Oh, and there are changing tables too! Got some fur babies! Bring them! They're allowed inside and outside! Street parking is the only thing available. They only provide delicious beers but you can go to the market next door or bring your own food and enjoy! They have live bands and Cornhole tournaments and more! I highly recommend this place because of the view and kid/dog friendly environment

Cozy , and huge place with 2 stories. The area downstairs includes the beer, store, and outdoor area. They have a big section upstairs for wedding, anniversaries, wedding, birthdays... you name it. They have a great variety of board games and and table puzzles. Sitting area is not cramped. They are dog friendly.My husband and I had the opportunity to talk to Trevor who told us about the name and why the brewery is called 7 sounds. Seasonal beer is always available and they carry some of the last season beers in cans available to purchase.You are welcomed to bring snacks, and/or order food.

Bartender was not friendly. Seemed as though she didn't want anyone to buy beer. Wasn't just unfriendly to me, but to multiple other customers. It was a gorgeous Saturday afternoon and the place was quiet as a mouse outside. Would have been great to have some music playing outside. All you could hear was the hum of the food truck generator.

Stopped in on a Monday evening. Jessica was amazing and friendly. Had a nice band overlooking the river. Really good beer and selection. Live music and an amazing evening.

What a fun place to hang out! We had never been, but wanted to find something to do with our out-of-town guests. We started out on the patio with the fireplace, talked to some nice folks. Made our way inside for the live band, which was very entertaining. I tried a seltzer drink and others in our party had various beers, which everyone raved about. We will definitely be back!
