Seth Broudy School of Surf

Definitely recommend this surf camp! Loved the location at Croatan and free parking before 10am(also was able to enter the parking lot for free around pickup time). All the instructors were super friendly and encouraging. We loved the after party and personalized video to watch footage of our surfer. My daughter wants to come back next year and I support it!

My daughter spent 4 days with Seth Broudy's Surf Camp and LOVED it! Yes surfing was the highlight, but she also enjoyed the warm ups - jumping the waves breaking on shore and running on the boards in the water. Seth and the instructors were awesome! You can tell how passionate they are about surfing and how pumped they are for the kids to feel that same exhilaration from the sport. There were about 12 kids during this first week of summer ranging from 6 years old to 13...all were able to catch their own waves and had the biggest smiles doing so. Seth shares photos each night on his Facebook page. I could see my daughter's look of concentration standing on the surfboard and her huge smile when she reached the shoreline. Classes start early at 8 AM and go until noon. The surf school had new rash guards for the kids (blue and red so they can keep track of everyone in the ocean) and also had wet suits available. Of course they supply the boards. Croatan is a small beach with nice restrooms and changing facilities. The parking lot is free before 9 AM, so if you wanted to stay at the beach to relax while your kids are at camp you can although the school recommends you not stay in case your child gets distracted or self-conscious knowing you are there. My daughter was begging me to stay on the 3rd day to watch her surf because she was so proud of herself. Lucky for us we have family in Virginia Beach and return often to visit. I plan to sign my daughter up for more sessions with Seth Broudy's Surf School.

You can do it! Visit this surf camp and start checking off the bucket list!! My seven year old and I both rode some waves within a couple of hours! The staff was very knowledgeable, encouraging, and professional! We will be signing up again soon!

I decided at the last minute to join my neighbor for a ladies surf lesson and I'm so glad that I did! There were six moms with two instructors and we had a blast. None of us knew what we were doing, but within the first hour, we were all up on our boards. The water was warm and the waves were perfect. I would definitely recommend their surf lessons and camps!

Great way to learn to surf! Our three girls (ages 18-14) got up on the board in the very first lesson. Christian was an excellent instructor...knowledgeable, professional and enthusiastic. The girls are now hooked and can't wait to surf again!

We chose Seth Broudy's School of Surf for all 3 of our kids-ages 12, 8, & 7. The school came highly recommended; and we could not be more pleased. So pleased, in fact, that we registered our 12 year old for 3 additional weeks. The expert instruction & attention they give has been beyond expectation. Highly recommend.
