I've been to Send It Climbing a few times with One Summit, a nonprofit I work with, and every visit has been fantastic. The staff here are truly amazing--so patient and kind with the kids, many of whom are going through really tough times. They make sure everyone feels comfortable, from helping with harnesses to cheering them on as they climb. It's clear they genuinely care, and they work seamlessly with our group to create a welcoming and supportive environment. You can tell they go the extra mile to make the experience special for the kids. The gym itself is super clean, and the climbing routes offer something for all skill levels. I've recommended it to friends and honestly can't wait to come back on my own time to try climbing myself.Whether you're a seasoned climber or a beginner, this place has a great vibe. Big thanks to the staff for all they do. you guys rock (pun intended)!

We had an amazing experience at Send It Climbing with my 11-year-old and her friend! From the moment we walked in, the bright and colorful atmosphere immediately caught our attention. The staff, especially Shawn and Jewel, were incredibly friendly and patient. They gave us a fantastic orientation, where they showed us how to strap into the harnesses and explained all the safety measures to stay secure on the wall. The facility is perfect for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced climbers. There's even a small gym upstairs with equipment to work on your upper body and do squats--great for building strength! I didn't participate this time because I'm terrified of heights, but I will slowly build up to doing this myself. It was amazing to watch my daughter's confidence grow from the beginning to the end of our visit. She started off a little hesitant but kept challenging herself to go higher and higher on the wall as the night went on.They're open until 9 PM, which is super convenient, and they offer great deals, military discounts, and even children's party packages. You can reserve a party time and bring your own food and drinks! This is not just a fun activity, but a great way to challenge yourself and get in shape. You want your kid to go home and immediately fall asleep afterwards??? This is the place !!! We will definitely be coming back. If you're in the Norfolk area, I highly recommend visiting!

This is the best climbing gym! It's a great place for experienced climbers to keep in climbing shape and hang out / get beta, but it's also such a friendly helpful place for beginners and up-and-coming youth. They have lots of fun and/or competitive events. The staff is happy to belay you or you can trade belays with a nice stranger who is belay-certified by the staff. They do birthday parties for all ages.

Really good utilization of space for climbing, routes were graded accurately in my opinion for gym levels. Lots of variety in climbing styles for bouldering, good atmosphere, small workout area upstairs which was good. Staff were very kind and helpful.

My kids -- ages 4, 9, and 11 --- are always on the lookout for new activities.... after attending a birthday party here last fall, my wife and I decided to buy them a 10-visit punch tag as a Christmas gift. We've almost used up all the visits at this point, and will definitely be getting another one ASAP. The staff are excellent, very hands-on and willing to help the kids with harnesses, techniques, etc. safety is the number one priority here, an aspect I definitely appreciate as a parent trying to run between three kids. I am no expert on rock climbing, but this place seems to have a great mix of challenges for different skill levels, as well as a large area for bouldering. I would highly recommend Send It from anyone, child, or adult, looking for a great physical activity indoors in Norfolk.

My favorite climbing gym. I live out of state, but I love coming here every time I visit my sister. High walls, always clean, air conditioned, friendly staff.

My girlfriend and I were visiting from out of town. We have a membership at a climbing gym chain in the SF Bay Area. I'm glad we found Send It Climbing through Yelp and Google. We took them up on their mid-week closing time special. Jonathan (I think) at the front desk was really nice and helpful. He asked us about our climbing plans. He explained the bouldering wall (route rating, falling and down climbing) and performed a falling test and belay test since we were planning on also trying out the top rope walls. The top rope routes here a +/- modifier instead of a letter modifier (a-d) unlike our gym back home. Either system makes sense. Their ropes require a belay device, so we borrowed an ATC and carabiner from the front desk. The routes are fun and varied. They have an overhanging wall that had some interesting moves (5.10 and 5.10+) We got some bouldering in too. Wish I had energy for more bouldering because there were quite a few routes to try out in my range (V2 - V3). We didn't use the auto-belay, speed climbing, or lead climbing walls. I would definitely check them out on the future (minus lead). The gym is clean and they have air purifiers running so it seems a bit safer with Covid around. We'll definitely visit again.

I had a great time climbing here tonight. I'm in town visiting family and enjoyed checking out this gym. I was a little confused by the special evening pass since it said we could climb from 8-10, but the gym hours were until 9pm. We called before going and he explained that they don't let people in the door after 9. But if you're already in the gym you can climb until 10. The guy at the front was super friendly. He did a great job with the orientation and belay test. My partner and I were able to try some challenging top rope routes and boulder problems. Thanks for the fun time and great workout!

This place turns on my spirit animal, which is a artic mountain leopard. Wish there were more slots open for solo climbers but it's a righteous venture as is. Not sure if it was worth the monthly membership at the mome, but it's definitely worth going to at least 2-3 times. Latitude Climbing is a little better than this place, especially with the high-up climbs. But the bouldering here is pretty swell. It's not good enough to turn your SO on in bed by whispering in her ear about it but I'd come again.
