Great course with lots of uphill, downhill, sidehill, sand traps, and just a few water hazards.Bathrooms at the halfway points, food at the pro shop.Very helpful pleasant staff.

The course is in great shape this year. And, BIG NEWS: they started a Ladies Nine & Wine each Wednesday night at 5:30pm. Nine holes for $20 if you're not a member and $10 for members. Call: 252-261-2158. Super fun, low-key scrambles etc. Includes golf cart rental. Everyone congregates in the bar/restaurant afterwards for food, drink and a little conversation. Friendly staff.

Everyone has a bad day and I'm sure that starter doesn't even work there anymore. I'm willing to give it a second chance.

Came here on vacation from Virginia with a few friends for the week. Two of them being avid golfers we decided to play 9 holes. The course was beautiful and well maintained however the staff was another story. We finished up our round and returned our carts at 6:30 (cart return and close at 7). We headed 5 minutes down the road to our hotel and realized we forgot a phone. We called right away to learn the the manager DAN of the course had left "just left " and the employees weren't able to access the safe. Just a couple things wrong with that... what kind of manager DAN leaves their job before they are even closed that's horrible leadership and just downright unprofessional. They also kept our property overnight because the manager DAN left!!! We were due to leave early early this morning but had to change everything around to come grab the phone which wasn't even in the safe when we picked it up, so what the fuck. Other than DAN , the staff was very kind.

I was hesitant to play course after seeing the poor reviews, but it is a decent course! Who cares about staff, it's the course that matters anyways...

Short course but plenty of trouble which makes it feel long. The greens are better than Currituck but the course is not as pretty. I like the fairways are in better shape than Currituck. For the price, I'd rather play Sea Scapes.

What a great place!! We went here after going to Currituck Club for last few years. However, we had such a terrible customer service experience at Currituck Club last year that we decided we could never go back. Thankfully we found this place!! The whole experience here is fantastic. The staff is welcoming, energetic and eager to help, especially Dan in the clubhouse. This is a total opposite of Currituck Club. The golf is great as well. Challenging course with some interesting par 5's. The Sandtrap Tavern was great for beers and lunch after the round. We had an 8am tee time on a Tuesday and pace of play was great. 4 hour round. Only one small drawback - there isn't an onsite range to warm up. However, the course itself, the great/friendly staff and overall great experience more than made up for that. We'll be back!!

Lovely course, friendly staff, well-maintained. I'm not used to fancy courses, so I was super happy with the snack and beverage cart!!

This course was in very good shape (played after a week of heavy rains) and the greens were as good as u can expect in a public course. The staff was friendly and helpful and the facilities were great. Would definitely play again. The course is challenging (lots of dog legs and water that sneaks up on you) but fun. The round moved pretty quickly as well

I am writing this out of concern for this course, players locally and out of towners. The gentleman, I wish I had caught his name, that is currently working in the golf shop was utterly and completely terrible. He was extremely condescending, rude, obnoxious and had a "could care less" attitude as soon as we walked in. My boyfriend and I booked a "one player" tee time and when we arrived he stated that he was the forth player for a fore some, without even saying hello to either of us, or acknowledging me in the slightest. My boyfriend then proceeded to be very kind and courteous and wanted to get his cart for he and I to play behind the threesome ahead. The gentleman said, no, he had to play with the threesome or pay 20.00 dollars for an extra cart, which I would have gladly done if we were able to tee off right behind the group in front. It is a dreary, rainy day and there was no back up on the course. I can understand if there had been a laundry list of players waiting to tee off, but one player, who has already paid, should have been offered some sort of courtesy. However, not one ounce of kindness was shown, even when he was considering to just play with the foursome, the gentleman was so rude, that we didn't want to even ponder on the thought of staying to play. I am going to write this same review on google, as well as any golf forum, warning potential players of this very thing, urging them to steer clear of this course. We do golf trips twice a year and believe me, everyone we know will definitely not put this on our lists of golf outings. I can not believe they have someone so unpleasant and nasty working their front counter. Worst experience ever, I urge you not to give this place your money. Nags head golf links is a MUCH better choice!
