I absolutely love coming here! The staff is always so friendly, the food is really really good and the people who are regulars there are super respectful! They make so much of their sauces and other things in house other places can't really match it :)Also the bartenders really know what they're doing!

We're very disappointed with our visit this evening, 26 Feb, 6pm. When we arrived we were greeted and seated right away. After sitting for awhile with no acknowledgement by the wait staff and witnessing three other groups being seated and served without anyone acknowledging our presence we got up and left. We'll definitely think twice before coming to Schooners again.

Came for lunch/brunch on a Saturday. Arrived at 11:30 with plenty of tables available. Our server, Brittany, was exceptional. I very much appreciate their gluten free crust and wrap options. I got the pork gyro, I felt the pork was under seasoned but it was tender which was a plus. The strawberry vinaigrette for the side salad was yummy. They also have several NA beer options.

A perfect place for Poquoson. A bar, food, and not too pricy I'm sure they will be successful. It reminds me of a lower scale Surf Rider just with a Greek twist and not as much seafood. Nachos: the beef was just cut up unseasoned ground beef. I was hoping for seasoned taco beef. I've been told the chicken nachos are better. So maybe I'll try that next time. The pasta salad was pretty good. BLT: Yep, I am getting that next time. The bacon was piled on like the mattresses in the story, "Princess and the Pea." Hehe get it The cookie dessert sundae was pretty good. The cookies were soft and gooey. The dessert options were definitely worth a gander. Key lime pie, chocolate torte, cookie sundae dessert, apple pie and more Overall the food was good.Noise level, it was kinda loud even for 4:30pm. They do have exterior seating. If the weather is perfect, I would opt for that. The interior was nicely decorated and pretty clean. Bathrooms were nice as well.

Love that Poquoson has another great restaurant choice for locals who don't want to drive the 20 minutes to the Newport News location. For those coming from out of town it's right on Victory Blvd, very convenient and easy to find. Happy Hour is from 11:30 to 6:00 and includes $2 off some of the appetizers as well as drinks. The indoor seating area is relatively small but there's additional outdoor seating with umbrellas for shade that looked inviting. Both areas fill up fast for both lunch and dinner. If possible, I'll be going back at off peak times to avoid a wait. It's also very loud inside when full. Not a great choice if you need to have an actual conversation with your dining partner, or maybe opt for the outdoor seating if that's important to you. There's a small indoor bar that looked comfortable and there's plenty parking. Overall the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Pricing was fair. The menu is large and includes pizza as well as seafood and other traditional dishes. My group tried the beef nachos and chicken quesadillas from the happy hour selections, both were good. I preferred the quesadillas, the chicken was flavorful and there was plenty... plenty to share as an appetizer or plenty to order as an entree. The nachos were made with homemade chips and although they were good, I didn't like them with the nacho toppings. The beef was a little dry and not seasoned and the flavors of chips and beef just didn't seem to go together. By far, my favorite dish to date was the grilled tuna fillet sandwich. The greek pasta salad was also quite good and the amount of bacon on the BLT is noteworthy (see pics). So not my favorite restaurant ever and if asked to recommend a great seafood place this won't be it but good food and friendly service. I'll definitely be back for another tuna steak and to try more selections! You should go check it out too!

Food was bland on four separate and different occasions. Decided to keep an open mind and try four separate dishes and sure enough same result. Disappointing.

Schooners is a great addition to Poquoson. They have been packed since opening and are still working out the kinks so try to be patient!I enjoy they have outdoor seating out front and some good bar seating. The space is pretty open so it can get loud depending on the crowd.I enjoyed drinks at the bar, very tasty! It's nice the menu has so many options.

This was our first time here. We were seated quickly and our waitress was very nice and super attentive. We ordered calamari for starters and had our meal follow. Everything was delicious and hot. We would go back to try other menu items.

The restaurant itself is decorated nicely but that's because of the previous owners. They did add some nice touches to it to bring the inside to life a little. The service was good, our waitress was attentive and brought refills and did a good job overall. As far as the food the fried pickles were great, I enjoyed them 8/10. My husband enjoyed the Power sandwich it was a 6/10. The blackened mahi tacos were ok they needed something more 6/10. Overall it's okay but I can spend my money and get better food elsewhere. Not to mention it was loud because there was a bunch of drunk adults using adult language right next to us.
