The food here was amazing. We went for breakfast and they had a variety of options. The food was really hot and fresh. The bacon and sausage weren't precooked meats and were so good. The pancakes were very fluffy and buttery and the grits were absolutely delicious. The restaurant is off of a golf course and was very cute and quaint. There's plenty of seating and it's very spacious. There's plenty of parking as well. The service was good and waitresses were very friendly. It just took awhile for the food to come out.

Solid Brunch Fare. Welcoming service - aka Southern Hospitality. Home fries could use some more spices imo

Waitress attentive. Atmosphere was casual not too crowded. TV's surrounding bar area, plenty of seating. Would not recommend if you want a full course dinner. Very simple menu with breakfast and lunch being a staple.

We continue to hit Sandtrap at least once during our stays at the Outer Banks. This was our fifth visit and was sort of an accident since we were headed for Spanky's but on this stormy day, their parking lot was packed. We are always pretty happy with what we get here. They have a nice lunch offering. This time it was a Pickle Brined Chicken sandwich for Ms T and a Flounder sandwich for me. Both were very good. Her chicken was tender and juicy and my flounder was fresh and mild. Both are to be recommended. Ms T's fries were not great, kind of limp but my slaw was very good and a nice relief from the slaw I had at Shipwrecks a few days earlier. This is always a pleasant and quiet place for a good lunch. We originally came because we look for places that are participants in the AAdvantage mileage program, but we like the food and keep returning. We rate them a strong three stars.

Awesome spot to hang and relax regardless of playing golf but definitely a bonus if you do. Being owners at the Villa and with me recovering from back surgery, we found ourselves coming here when we are in town to hang while having a few drinks and some great eats. The staff is amazing holding awesome conversations, the chef is back there kicking a@# on the food and the vibe of watching players slice, hook or pipe down the middle of the first hole makes for quite the additional entertainment. It has a clean, modern vibe to it and a place that you should definitely have a look at offering much more than golf snacks and munchies. You just may be surprised but come on over and show the love to this awesome Tavern and find out for yourself!!!

Food and service is always amazing! Super friendly staff and not the typical bad attitude of the tourist traps that are around here. Love the breakfast..especially the home fries and the salads and pickle brine chicken are great too. Definitely a place I frequent when I visit.

I've were in the area for a long weekend with friends. My husband and I decided we wanted to go grab a quick lunch, so a Yelp search netted several chains but then we saw Sandtrap. My husband loves golf and my mom worked at a golf course when I was a kid, so we thought it would be fun to eat at an eatery that is adjacent to a golf course. When we arrived, the parking lot was pretty full, but the restaurant had just a handful of people. We took a table outside overlooking the first tee and watched golfers tee off. Our server greeted us and got drinks for us...a gin and tonic for me and an ipa for my husband. For our meals, we got a house salad with balsamic, the tea-brined wings and peel and eat shrimp. Everything was good. The wings had a pretty strong vinegar flavor and were slightly dry, but the flavor was nice. The prices here are pretty good! My mixed drink was only $6. If I lived nearby, I'd walk over, enjoy some good food and a reasonably priced cocktail.

A perfect sports bar environment. The food has never disappointed me. The bartenders are some of the best on the Outer Banks hidden gem.
