Went by on a Sunday during summer and was not open and phone number was disconnected. Bummer!

Best oysters on Chincoteague. Super fresh and great service. Served on compostable, eco-conscious plates.

Fantastic oysters. They were so perfectly shucked. The cleanest I've ever had and all incredibly fresh. The staff was very friendly. Definitely a must stop if you enjoy oysters and other seafood.

The service was what I expected but oh my god the flies. They were all over our food when we got there. Now it is summer so I understand there would be flies. But no effort was made to stop them. It was gross. We also made the fatal mistake of going during trivia night. I had to put my head out the window it was so hot. The food was bland for the price overall and did not enjoy my time there.

Honestly the best food we've had on the island. Best laid back place for good seafood and good beer. Wish we had found this place earlier so I could eat it 4 more times.

The food was bland, and when I went to pick it up flies were swarming it. Flies touched every part of the food, and no plate had any container. I got the shrimp boil and it was bland. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind shrimp with little flavor, but zero flavor is where I draw the line. Furthermore, the presentation was abysmal and looked like it was regurgitated onto the plate. Lastly, the ratio of outdoor to indoor seating was way too high, especially if it was to rain (as it did when I was there.) In conclusion, the health standards were non-existent, the presentation was trash, and I would not recommend it to any person who values cleanliness.

I seriously rate this one of the best seafood meals I've ever had. The oysters were shucked PERFECTLY, no shell fragments in them, and each one was ready to slide down my greedy gullet, LOL. The mignonette sauces (I had the house, and the ginger yuzu) were so good that I sipped them after I finished all my oysters. The oysters were super fresh and delicious, I have never had better oysters in my life. The steamed clams were also delicious and tender. I ordered a side of boiled potatoes, sausage and corn, and it complimented the seafood nicely. It's going to be hard to go back home where I can't get this anytime I want!

I'm not a huge oyster fan, but I decided to give them a try since Chincoteague is known for its oysters. These were so fresh and delicious. Even my picky husband gave it a try and liked them. I then went back and got the shrimp broil, which was one of the best meals I've ever had. I'm surprised there aren't more reviews. I've started planning my Chincoteague trips around visiting Salts! It's that good. Before going, check the hours/days that it is open (I believe it is open Thursday through Sunday).

Beware of this place, they don't mark their prices and seem to charge non locals exorbitant prices.

Best seafood in Chincoteague hands down. Great staff and service. House mignonette for oysters is fantastic. Take the time to eat this food. Get a great beer next door at Black Narrow Brewing Company (same owner).
