My family said that it was okay. My meal was overloaded with cheese. Half of my dish was cheese, which made it too salty.

Recently, there was a Facebook post on the Gloucester 411 page complaining about the dismal food culture in the area. Admittedly, I found it hard to disagree..... outside of two exceptions -- YROC and Sal's!I visit Gloucester Point every few weeks. And each and every time I am in town, I make a point of ordering something from Sal's. The bottom line: the food is delicious. Whether you are getting one of Sal's phenomenal pizzas or one of their entrees, it is all good. I have genuine trouble deciding between the white and the margherita because both are so incredibly delicious and well-executed.Earlier, I had mentioned entrees. Sal's pasta and manicotti? Divine. Do you want to taste something prepared and cooked with love? Try their calzone, panzerotti, or pasta. It is beyond delicious. End of story? Sal's is phenomenal. Whether you are getting a salad, pizza, or other delightful dish -- everything is simply fantastic.

a long time ago this was a 5 star local place owned by a family that really did a great job serving great food. Now the food is mediocre and disappointing.

Recently visited Sal's on a whim, and thankfully one member of our party got there early so we didn't struggle to get seated. The fried ravioli and mozzarella sticks were great, as were the two Chef's platters. The most difficult part of the experience was the language barrier between our party and our server, and the feeling that the server was rushing us along, clearing plates and glasses almost immediately. Best Italian food I've had in Williamsburg thus far.

We discovered this perfect restaurant on our way back home to MD after a visit to Busch Gardens and loved everything: the atmosphere and look of the restaurant ( you would not expect so much from outside), the warm welcome and best Sicilian pizza ever had in the US that made me feel back at home (authentic Sicilian gal). We will go back from more and plan a trip from southern Maryland for a meal there!

We ordered three pizzas to go. All were lukewarm And were ready before the quoted 15-20 minutes. The second time I went was 10 minutes after placing the order. How can they do that and produce a room temp pizza? The pizzas are not crispy or browned. Happily we have an oven and finished cooking them at home. There is a sign out front saying the restaurant is under new management. Tip for the chef; actually cook the pizzas all the way. Don't just warm them up.

So, we had a fresh salad and the best eggplant parmesan. Two days later we returned for lunch; salads and cheese/mushroom pizza. For dinner we bought salads and two parmesan platters. Great Italian food, and i know Italian. Oh, great 70's/80's rock, and fair prices. Service was prompt and helpful. I will return. Open tables and convenient location. Thanks, Larry
