Sal's Ristorante Italiano

We had a group of 20+ people, including 9 children under 10 years old. We had a 6 pm reservation, and our table was ready when we arrived. Our server, Abraham, was absolutely outstanding! The kids meals came out of the kitchen first, and came so fast that there was no time for them to get bored or rambunctious. Adult meals also came quickly, the food was plentiful and very good. I can't say enough good about Abraham...he is a rock star server! Attentive, efficient, patient and he really "knew his audience" when it came to our group. Abraham, if you get a chance to read this, you impressed all of us, and you clearly know how to take care of your customers. You are 100% gold star material and we were blessed to have had the opportunity for you to take care of our group.

Please include more substantive plastic wear in your carryout program ... the current won't even pierce a cucumber in a salad

While on vacation we had checked this restaurant on Yelp and it seem pretty good and we had a 10% off coupon! We made reservations for 15 and upon arrival they the table all set up for us. Our waiter Kareem welcomed us and took our drink order. While we waited for our drinks we were served fresh bread with butter and olive oil, great to dip the fresh bread in. We all ordered and most of us had salad with our dinner, mine was with blue cheese and was good. Our dinners seem to come out 2 or three at a time at a slow pace. We all finally received our dinners except for my wife. She asked our waiter where her food was. It seemed it was somehow forgotten. Her Chicken Marsala came out when we were almost done with our dinners and it was not like chicken Marsala, no brown gravy and the chicken was like rubber, almost like it was microwaved. She then took it to the owner and told him it was awful. He immediately came over asked her what she wanted, someone had the Penne a la vodka and it was very good. She decided that and he added shrimp to it and rushed it out. Within minutes it came out hot and my wife said it was awesome. I had the Meat Tortellini and it was great.For the check not only did they take the 10% off, my wife's dinner was free. When leaving Dennis the owner was very apologetic and stayed speaking with him about our experience. He told us they were short staff and how that added to the confusion. We had a nice conversation and then he gave my wife and I a bottle of wine on the house to take home. I have never seen anything like this. He sincerely felt bad and knew we were from out of town and chances we won't be back. He could have said sorry and took her dinner off and that would have been all which was the right thing to do, but he went over the top to take care of someone he would most likely not see again. He also told us to visit his cousin's restaurant in Hoboken. Even though we had an issue they immediately took care of it and went over the top to make it right so 5 Stars it is. I would definitely be back and would recommend Sal's because the food was good and they care about their patrons.

Sals is great! we have been there three times now in the short amount of time we have lived in Williamsburg. We had dinners in the restaurant and our server was super nice and attentive. Salads that come with entrees could have a little more to them, but the bread tasted homemade and was light and airy. I had eggplant parm and my husband had linguini with clams. I again have the egg plant Parm another night and husband had chicken cacciatore. Both were outstanding. We had pizza another night and it was some of the best crust I've ever had. Light and tasty just like their dinner bread.Locals and tourists are missing the boat by not giving Sal's a chance; a little off the beaten path, but SO worth it!

The shrimp scampi was alright, there was an overbearing lemon rind taste... the portions are small for the price. Ordered two meals to go. The staff were very friendly and the customer service was great.Update: I got sick after eating the scampi.

While on vacation I decided to browse for a good Italian pizza restaurant that wasn't to far from where I was staying. I came across Sal's and ordered a pepperoni pizza and 2 Italian salads to go. Food was ready in 20min like I was told over the phone. Pizza was very good. Crust was nice and soft and it had the perfect amount of cheese. The salads were pretty big, we could have split just one salad. I would definitely order from them again the next time I'm in the Williamsburg area.

Every time we go to Williamsburg, I try to find some good places to eat on yelp. I saw this place had good reviews so we decided to try it out. My boyfriend and I hot a special where you can get 2 entrees and a free bottle of wine. They had me at free wine! We both ordered the baked ziti that came with a salad and bread. The service was great...it was a very friendly family establishment. We took the food back home. So my thoughts on the food. It was fresh! I think it was so fresh I wasn't used to the flavors. The red sauce was a little vinegery (I think I made thay word up) but to me it has a little sour taste. I def would try this place again and maybe opt for pizza or Alfredo.

This restaurant is the perfect blending of authentic Italian and American cuisine. The interior is neutral and the food is fantastic. The prices are appropriate and service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant over other pizza places in the Williamsburg area. Will return multiple times.

Basket of bread was not good. The hot Philadelphia Cheese Steak sandwich and salad always good. Large indoor seating area. Nice people. The fried ravioli was good too.

Ordered two pies one was sicilian both were under cooked. The Sicilian was like eating a dinner roll with cheese and tomato sauce. Orderes a salad and the cheese appeared to be Kraft slices cut up. Really disappointed.
