Great mom and pop pizza shop. Nothing crazy, just simple and good pizza. There are many places in the area with similar names, but they are kind of different. Staff is nice. Inside there are only a few tables, so it's more of a take away kind of spot. Stop in and enjoy a slice!

I and the boys were trying to be diverse one night, so we attempted to whip up some tacos Al Pastor true latino style. Our experiment fell on its face, and we found ourselves with nearly 3 pounds of unsatisfying meat that we had no intention of eating. We called in an order, and within 15 minutes, the squad was eating, what I would describe as, the world's most average pizza from Sal's Pizza. Revived our night. Sal's pizza is there for you when you need them. Great service. Not a bad spot for a late night pizza run.

I really wanted to like the pizza. I love pizza and love The New York slice. I ordered and when it got here was still excited. But when I started eating it let me down. It arrived and it was not hot. I can look past that, but the disappointing part was the flavor. It really didn't have any. I do like my pizzas with a lot of sauce and maybe that's the issue. It didn't have much. All in all it was just ok. I will continue to look for other pizza places. If anyone has a recommendation in the Virginia Beach area let me know.

I would have usually given this place a ten. Because I usually order from them and the service and food are impeccable. So today, I ordered for myself and my coworkers. Wrong order. Asked for them to correct the order and the LADY who I know is not the owner. Stated with a nasty attitude I can send the food back and receive the correct order. I said ok. My "correct" order came back incorrect wings tasted as if they were tossed in lemon pepper too quick I could barely taste the seasoning. And the driver had an attitude because we bit a small piece to see if the food was correct the first time. Telling me next time don't bite the food as if they resell already sent out food. Smh. Never again. They've lost a faithful customer.

It's a decent pizza place in the city (it has other locations nearby in Norfolk), and I've ordered from here 2 times before. Some people I know would give Sal's a big praise due to its "X-Large" pizza size, which is a huge 20" pizza, cut into 10 slices. The pizza sizes are: Medium (14"), Large (18"), and X-Large (20"). The area where I've ordered from/where my family lives, there isn't any other option to go with for pizza (large+wide city), so Sal's Pizza was a good enough choice for the evening.Ordering on a stormy Saturday evening, I've ordered a half cheese / half pepperoni pie, X-Large, and mozzarella sticks, hoping to share with family and enjoy a good Saturday at home. Ordered at a quarter to 9, and we were patiently waiting for the pizza before long, an hour passed, and it was nearly closing time (for the business), before the pizza courier arrived at the door, and we've graciously accepted the food. It seemed off that the pizza was instead a medium pizza, and the mozzarella sticks were cold (pizza was somewhat warm), and it was too late to ask for a re-do, so our family ate what was presented to us. The pizza was good enough, and the cheese was consistent with the sauce, and it wasn't overlooked. The mozzarella sticks on the other hand felt cold, and the cheese was hard, instead of (molten) hot as how they're supposed to be. Overall, it was a decent pizza, but having the pizza downgraded without notice, and a relatively long delivery time (2mi away = 1 hour?) made the pizza experience for the evening kind of mediocre.

Not sure why this place has low reviews, it's good. My husband didn't like their crust and they are expensive for a pizza place, so it will be getting 4 stars but they have one of my favorite pizzas, BROCCOLI! We received our order quickly and correctly via DoorDash. Have ordered twice now!

Yea this place sucks. I gave them a second chance and they blew it.I had ordered off the lunch menu ( I had got a slice of pizza and wings with EXTRA sauce). It took an hour to even get to me! I had called about 10 mins before the driver arrived to cancel my order becos it was ridiculous how long it was taking, but the woman on the phone said he should be there in a few mins.Once we get our food, I immediately knew something was off when the box wasnt hot. As soon as I took a bite of my pizza, lukewarm. Not hot, just seems like it was sitting. I open the foil to my wings and they look DISGUSTING. They were sitting in a small pool of liquidy buffalo sauce that made the wings just soggy AF.I called the store back up to tell them how horrible this food is and how ridiculous it was that I had waited a hour for my food so I wanted my money back. The woman on the line gave the phone to the guy who I am assuming cooked the food, delivers & runs the place, and he proceeded to argue with me saying that he put extra sauce like I asked but I said that's not the problem, the problem is with the fact that they are in a thin buffalo sauce that soaked into the wing instead of sticking to it. After he heard me starting to get angry he said I can bring it back in for a refund.This place has horrible customer service, unprofessional, and the food is not good. $90 for 3 pizzas. Ordered through Uber Eats and got an hour late. Uber Eats said it was restaurant's fault, Restaurant said it was Uber Eats fault but that's not even the reason for the below average review. Ordered a Bianca Capri pizza which is supposed to have veggies and white sauce, received a pizza with anchovies. Picked them all off and still was so bad we had to throw the pizza out. I have never in my life thrown out a pizza, especially a $30 pizza, but we couldn't even stand the smell. We called, and they said to call another time and we'd get our correct pizza. We did, but we had to haggle to get it delivered, which is the reason for the low review. It took several phone calls and way too much money for pizza that was very average.

Disgusting dry and rude. I ordered pepperoni with mushrooms n the cook misunderstood my order and refused to remake and then smiled. Also, it was lacking cheese n flavor . Done and will not return AGAIN!!!. IT ALSO HAD A GAS SMELL AS IF THERE WAS A LEAK EEW!!!

Having received a menu from this place where the food looked good, I decided to give them a try. I ordered their special with one slice of pizza and 6 wings with a drink. The wings were cooked too hard and had watery barbecue sauce on them. The pizza slice was big which was nice but the pizza was cold and the toppings were scarce. Will not be returning. The food was awful!!
