Sal's Italian Pizza

Sal's pizza was ok. The crust was a little thick for my liking but the pepperoni pizza was good. The combination wasn't that great and I would avoid that. I would go back to eat it but not to take it home again.

Dont bother. The service is slow. They mess up the orders more often than they get them right and you are in for a disappointment.

Been going there since I was a kid. Pizza is really good. Drive at least once a month from Mathews for it.

We really like Sal's... best pizza in the area, by far and fairly priced. Nice yeasty crust and tasty sauce, just add your choice of toppings. Our fav is Sal's combo. Try it!

We think this is the best pizza joint in Kilmarnock, highly recommend! Extra cheese for the win!

Please, people said this pizza was great. I read the reviews. 21.00 for a pizza that the website says is 18.50 to begin, canned mushrooms sparsely sprinkled on an already so so pizza. safe yourself the trouble. I strongly disagree. I love pizza but not Sals pizza. place sux. one star because I can't put ZERO. BAM!

Ordered a Philly cheesesteak with onions and tomatoes. For takeout. Got home and there's no cheese on the cheese steak. Called them back and they said I only ordered onions and tomatoes. I said I ordered a Philly cheesesteak with onions and tomatoes they argued with me on the phone and would not provide any compensation or discount for another visit. I guess when you order a Philly cheesesteak and they ask you what you want on it you gotta make sure you say you want cheese. Ordering a cheesesteak does not mean you'll get cheese at this location. Skip this place zero customer service.

Ordered Philly cheesesteak with hot peppers and mushrooms. Told to wait 40 min to pick it up then waited an additional 25 min once arrived. Order was missing CHEESE and hot peppers for which we were charged extra plus the onion straws were very cold.

IF YOU'RE NOT A LOCAL, AVOID THIS PLACE!!!Wife and I rented a house a couple miles away and decided to grab a pizza to go the other night. Placed the order and was told it would be 30 mins. No problem, I put $5 in the tip jar. More people came in and ordered and got their pizzas while I waited. No biggie I thought, they seem to know everyone that comes in. After an hour I was told it was almost done. At an hour and a half, I kid you not, they told me they were out of pepperoni and asked what else I'd like. Now I didn't care about the pepperoni, but when other folks come in and order pepperoni pizzas AFTER me, and get their pizzas while I'm waiting, they obviously could care less about the out of town guy's pizza. Keep in mind that I asked three times for an update and was always told it was almost done. Finally asked for a refund, went to Dominos a block away, and had pizza in 20 mins. Hindsight is 20/20 and so are restaurant reviews.
