Sage Kitchen - Anderson's Newport News

The chicken salad croissant is what I always order because it is so good! The last time I did end up switching up my side and had the clack bean salad instead of the coleslaw and both are great sides. I was there most recently for restaurant week and was able to have one of their cookies and good tea for lunch and as always so good! I also tried a friends sweet potato fries with some of their apple butter and that could be life changing! So yummy! Service is always with a smile and it usually does not too long to receive your food. Plenty of seating with booths and big and small tables so good for groups. It's inside Anderson's Garden Center which has lovely items for you to shop at before or after your meal!

I came here to enjoy a small lunch with my sister-in-law. There was a variety of dishes and drinks to choose from, and since all of them looked really good, it was hard to choose. The dining area contained live plants which gave it that all natural and fresh vibe to it. After you place your order at the counter, the food is then delivered to your table. I had the California Cobb quesadilla with sweet potato fries on the side. The fried had the perfect outside crisp to them and melted when you got to the inside. The quesadilla was simply delicious. I like how the meals are quick and light. Nothing too heavy that it sits with you all day. I will definitely be coming back.

Plants, coffee, eatery, and a cute little boutique gift shop...Andersons is a one stop shop! Went flower shopping and decided to try Sage Kitchen. You order at the counter and seat yourself. Service was quick and our food came out fast. You can also order select coffees from Pangea that they will bring over to your table while seated at the cafe. A little on the pricier side but the food was fresh, made to order and packed with good flavor. Glad I finally gave it a try!

This place holds great memories for myself and my mom. We used to go here with her friends and now I go with my friends. We do a little shopping and then sit down for a little lunch or dinner. You can even be met by a waitress or go up to the counter and order then seat yourself. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and the food is great. I've had their a couple different things on their menu and they taste great! It's been a minute since I've visited, but I really do love this place. If you love plants, Anderson's is the place to visit plus sit down for a nice meal at Sage Kitchen

I didn't realize this cafe is inside of a store/plant nursery until I got there. The restaurant is very spacious, good service, fair priced and I really enjoyed the lunch. I ordered the "halfsies" which was a half chicken salad on croissant and a half salad with pecans and blue cheese, etc. Walking through the store afterwards was a nice treat.

this was my first time here, I ordered the brussel sprouts and the half chicken salad sandwich and half everything salad. the brussel sprouts were sauteed with asiago cheese, shallots and bacon and also came with a balsamic glaze sauce. It tasted good and the half chicken salad sandwich came on a croissant and tasted really good. Im hesitant to try chicken salad sandwich because sometimes its made with too much mayonnaise but this had a good balance. The everything salad was good and I liked the raspberry vinaigrette. All the dishes tasted fresh, I will comeback here again.

Dear, I mentioned how nice places?? it truly is fabulous having lunch in this sweet garden room with flowing plants from above. A beautiful renovation... flowers are everywhere. They have expanded their menu, delicious lunches and have added mimosas, crackers, and vodka coolers.. There's even a little coffee café here... when you're done, you can go into their stylish boutique shopping. Whoever came up with the idea to combine a plant nursery, café, and boutique was brilliant! This will definitely be a regular place for me and my family.

Our service Melanie was amazing. All of the apps were on point! We celebrated our friends birthday and had the best time!!

I enjoyed myself at Sage Kitchen! The service was quick and everyone was pleasant. My food was delicious. My only reservation about returning would be the price. I got the quesadilla and sweet potato fries for about $18 which felt steep to me.
