We here for afternoon lunch with family. We wanted Caribbean food. This place offer Dominican/ Caribbean food. The place has food over the counter or a la carte menu. We order the oxtail with white rice the red bean. The food was hot and meat was very tender. We also order the goat with rice and peas the food was very tasty and delicious. We order fried plantains with Dominican refresco and lemonade. Overall the meal was good and restaurant was clean. This is locally owned business. Our server was courteous and friendly.

Although it clearly says Caribbean, This is not Dominican or P Rican food. This is Central/south American food. I know what it says, I'm here to clearly tell you this is not Caribbean food. However, the food is not bad. Just not that good. Oxtails are decent tho.

Food is good and the service is good. The caveat is the food is costly and you don't get much food with your dishes but not bad.

My only suggestion is that they need to update their menu, the price they charged me was not reflected off the menu. Although the food tasted good the portions were too small. I specifically ordered everything separately and explained to the lady that I am ordering for 8 people however some orders were placed together. language barrier perhaps. kind of disappointed with what i paid for against what i received.

Food was delicious and came out fast. Service was attentive. It's not a large restaurant but there is indoor and outdoor seating. My toddler who is a picky eater enjoyed the rice and platains. Would definitely recommend if you like authentic Caribbean and Dominican food.

It's always good to switch up the menu and try something different. I found out about this business by reading a list published of the top 5 eateries to try in Hampton Roads. Located next to an African hair braiding business, it can be a bit unassuming when you are looking for this business. The parking lot is shared by other neighboring businesses but I haven't had any issues with parking. The ability to use contactless pay depends on who's working and has a grasp on the functionality of their system. There are daily lunch specials and you can opt to dine in or get your items to go. I never felt the need to call ahead as I was always served promptly. There are some renovations ongoing to try to expand. There is booth seating and some at the counter. There are alcoholic beverages served here if you're trying to get wavy. The flavor of the food has been consistently delicious. Portions were appropriate and those working there were always welcoming. Language can be a barrier but someone will happily come from the kitchen to help make sure that you get what you want/need and everyone's happy. There is a menu and a rotation of daily offerings to choose from. I would definitely recommend this location to someone who is looking to switch it up.

The food at this location was pretty good. I can't complain after not eating some Spanish food for more than 190 days. I had me a plate of fried pork chops, yellow rice with peas, some tamarindo juice, a presidente and a tres leches. The price was hella right and the waitress was very attentive. I'll definitely go back for another plate of food.

Really hungry and didn't want to drive too far so we decided to try this spot close to home. The oxtails were plentiful, and equally delicious. I have never got so many in an order in my life. They were kinda tomato based, so very different than Caribbean- but still tasty. The rice was perfectly cooked an the beans were seasoned just right. The Dominican fried chicken was also tasty, it appeared to be burnt- however that was definitely a disguise because it was super juicy inside. The yellow rice was also delicious. Plantains were sweet and perfectly cooked. The empanadas were ok, cheese better than the chicken. They have daily specials and oxtails being the Friday special so it's safe to say we will frequent here on Friday to get one of my favorite dishes

My first time visiting Virginia and we were looking for a restaurant with delicious local Dominican food. In the description of your restaurant everything looks very good, the thing is when you arrive at the restaurant it looks like a drink bar not at all familiar and the food is not Dominican as they say it is all Salvadorans. When we ordered it was nice, it didn't have anything, in the end we ordered some very bad pastor tacos and a roasted meat that luckily was good. The children's menu didn't have anything either, we ended up ordering french fries with tenders and the potatoes were not well cooked the tenders tasted horrible. To top it off, they didn't give us the order complete and I was expensive. The waitress was very kind. I don't recommend this place at all.

This place is ripped me off today. I ordered from the menu two empanadas priced a $3 each on that menu and a small cup of black beans priced at $2.50. That should have totaled $8.50, but when the check came I was charged instead $13.00 for them (state and local tax were on top of that). When I protested I was told that the prices had gone up that the empanadas were actually $4.50 each and the beans were actually $4.00. I was not in the mood to fight this so I paid and left, but I will never go back there.
