A +++ Experience! This is a one of a kind, amazing experience. Once located in "Presidents Park", these busts of presidents (through GW Bush) were moved to private land after the park where they were located closed.Located a few miles outside of Williamsburg, in Croaker, limited tickets (that sell out quickly) are required to see these decaying monoliths. Due to COVID, even fewer tickets are sold per session. Sessions include AM, afternoon, dusk, and VIP.Attending this requires a camera and a set of very tall mud/rain boots. After rain, mud can be over your ankles (or higher), but it's worth it! During our visit we got to enjoy Presidential trivia and hearing the story of how the huge 17,000 lb + statues ended up in this location. We were told the waitlist for the weekend we visited was 1,000 people long. COVID precautions (mask wearing, social distancing, bring your own pen to sign the liability form, etc) are strictly enforced. This is a unique experience for sure. It's clear that the future of the statues/location/events is up in the air, so get tickets while you can!

One of my close friends (who is an architectural historian) and I have been trying to visit these heads for ages. They are in someone's backyard in Williamsburg so they only offer certain dates when they'll allow people to visit them. You can purchase tickets on eventbrite. There are full day options or two hour intervals. We chose the two hour mid-day option and found that was the perfect amount of time to visit the heads. There was easy parking out front. We had a little intro to the heads and offerings of the space before making the three minute walk to the actual heads. Note this place can get really muddy so wear shoes you don't care too much about. It's an eerie spot, but a cool one to visit. The decaying heads are a sight to see. You can get a lot of amazing photos here. We spent the first part of our time walking around. Then we joined for their president trivia which was fun. At the second hour they offered some more president facts, but we were "president head"ed out at that point. I'd recommend visiting this unique spot.

This has been on my list of places to visit for a while but since access is so limited I haven't made it there before, I am really glad that I was able to visit. It is fascinating to see the old ruins and I am very thankful that these heads were saved. The ruins are located on a working businesses property to you have to purchase tickets ahead of time to secure access. It is a very easy walk from the parking area to the heads. It was muddy in some areas so if you want to get everywhere make sure you wear rain boots. The owners were present and giving talks and trivia games. It was busy but not crowded so it was easy to walk around and get all the photos you want.

This was a very cool way to spend Presidents' Day weekend. If you go, bring comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting dirty, because it's muddy out there. But, it's definitely worth it! My son and I were competing how many presidents we could name, and he won lol. I highly suggest it visiting the Ruins of Presidents Park in Williamsburg!

Absolutely incredible experience. They have trivia as well to get your presidential juices flowin. I hope you all come here before they build upon it because it'll get more expensive.

I wish this parked was open to the public because it would be an amazing hit. Unfortunately when we arrived we discovered you can only go view the heads if you make a reservation for only a couple of times in the year

Available only through a photo tour, this is perhaps one of the oddest yet coolest experiences you'll have in Croaker, VA just a short rocket flight (see pic) from Colonial Williamsburg. Of course your experience will vary wildly based on the weather.Expect to make your way down the gravel road past the no-trespassing signage at the appointed time ... typically before the sun goes down so you have a bit of time to grab pictures while the busts are naturally lit. Carefully dodge the piles of mulch and ruins of buildings and rebar and coax your car into one of the few available parking spaces making sure not to leave your portable chair, spare beverage, and snack in the car. You'll be here a while.Wander amongst the construction equipment for a bit and find yourself face to face with presidents. I attended as a guest so did little more than watch and heckle mildly. Very unique experience either way. Photos courtesy @DCPhotoGal.

Oh, man. What to say about this place?! They mean it when they tell you to wear rain boots. The giant heads sit in a pile of mud, but that can make some interesting pics. I'm super glad I went, and the tour included some fun tidbits about the artist who made these and the presidents themselves. I hope they get the funding to do even more with these heads and their potential!

I visited the Presidents Heads over Memorial Day weekend and it was so cool. That weekend there were awful storms and we had originally bought tickets for Saturday but I really appreciated John Plashal saying we could use the tickets any time on Sunday instead. It was very muddy so I recommend wearing old shoes or rain boots when you visit! I also loved that it was dog friendly. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Great experience! Such a unique hidden treasure. Bring a change of shoes, it's swampy the further back you go but adds to the adventure! John and Fred were engaging and added interesting history and background to the sculptures. It's not open every weekend so get your tickets when they are!
