My favorite place to shop it's git the best stuff and I always save more here then another store .

Um it's Roses what not to love about this store?! It's a wormhole trip to 1987! It has the classic dark ominous feel saturated tan, throw back 1990s fashion of yesteryear - I livvveeeee for their fashions!The place reminds me of that one family members house that's stuck in the late 80s and it's just too good to not tell them they need a rehaul on the look. Anyways... they have the best Easter church hats I mean glory they are full of bows and glam! Grab your finest heels bc baby you're going out in style these threads!The food, the furniture, the electronics - even the toys are holding on to the "we're still cool" phase bc I SOOOOOO need a cassette player walkman when I'm power walking in my powder blue sweatsuit at Pembroke Mall! Come thru pretzel cafe!Seriously fun finds like a surge 6 pack for $2 or a cheetah print bath towel set with matching linen $5! Just take my credit card it is a day of sunshine & Roses. Stop in for a good deal!

I love the odd finds at Roses. Their cashiers are always really nice, which I love- they're real with you I feel like. The area's okay- not the nicest, but also not the most sketchy. They have tons of good finds- I've found shoes for myself, shirts for my S.O. for a really good price, classroom supplies, bathroom cleaning products- really an assortment of things at a great price.Don't be scared to go into Roses and find some good bargains!

Yes that's right. Do not check your corrective lenses or adjust your screen, you really are seeing a four star rating for Roses. Right or wrong I do not use the same criteria to rate this deep discount department store as I would for say Macy's or Saks Fifth Avenue. It is what it is folks and for what it is it does it quite well. I like that they know their market and stick to what works for them. They're all about everyday values with something for every member of the budget minded family. They have lots of apparel and shoes for women, men and children with a good selection for us bigger folks too. There are plenty of toys for the children. They have most everything you need from health and beauty products, home furnishings and decor, accessories, electronics, lawn and garden items and so much more. They even have things for your pets as well as plenty of cleaning products. This particular Roses location is larger than some others and includes a large home furniture department and a large selection of nice area rugs in varying sizes. The store had a little remodelling done recently and is pretty neat and clean. It's organized well with wide aisles giving you plenty of room to navigate your shopping cart through the store. I guess they must have an issue with people stealing shopping carts because they're attaching long poles to them, check out my pics to see what I mean. All the employees I've encountered have been polite and friendly. They are knowledgeable and helpful and seem to enjoy their jobs.The large private parking lot shared with the rest of the businesses in College Park Shopping Center is more than adequate to ensure you will never have an issue with parking though you may have to navigate around a stray shopping cart or two.Roses has decent quality goods at very low prices, most product prices I've checked are the same or lower than comparable items at Walmart. If you haven't shopped Roses lately give them try, you're sure to find something you like or need at a very nice price.

The check out lines are very long with usually only 1-2 cashiers...takes forever to check out. There is a middle aged black cashier that has been rude to me multiple times. She clearly doesn't like the "white folk"...she was very nice to the black woman in front of me and when its my turn to check out, she does not greet me, look me in the eye, let alone say anything to me except what my purchase total is. I wish I could remember her name....terrible woman with zero class.

you not from Virginia if you never been easter sunday shopping at Roses. the good ol days lol but i loved roses when growing up and i still love it today. they have dresses for full figure and misses. they also offer a mens section with some nice options. if you are on a budget but dont want to look like it then this is the store for you. you can find something to where for just about any occasion. now i will say Roses looks the same way it did when i shopped here back in the day so they could use some revamping! but like the saying goes dont judge a book by its cover! another thing that i recently found out is that they sell furniture here as well. now the quality of it im not too sure of. but that also depends on your need. single with no kids, hey go for it! you got children and they a lil wild....id do some more thinking. my judgement is based off what was on display and the actual pieces in the box could very well be of better quality. idk! but i didnt find a reasonably prices dresser here that i'm tempted to go back for. it was really nice. the drawers werent as deep as i wanted but would do for my current needs. this is another "variety store" they have everything from kitchen needs, bathroom needs, dry food items and seasonal gardening items. this store is really big. this is the type of store you go into at 9AM and then you look up and its almost 12AM lol its so much stuff to look at. so go in here when you have the time because rushing in and trying to rush out will not work. trust me, something will catch your eye. i was able to find my mom a really cute dress that she liked. i saw a dress that i liked but they didnt have my size. but if you need something new for work and are ona budget try here one saturday and you'll be surprised at what you find !

Walmart on the Cheap!! I was recently in the area looking for some cheap cooking ware, specifically stockpots. I happened upon this store in the same strip as a Food Lion. Upon walking into the store I was like Damn! Look at all these good prices. The store had EVERYTHING with the exception of perishable food items. Flooring, Furniture, Toys, Clothing, House Goods, Bathrooms, Tools, Hygiene Products and everything else and more Galore. It looked exactly like a Walmart only cheaper. I was only in the store to snap a few pictures and grab the Stockpot I was looking for Stainless Steal at that. At the checkout line I did ask one of the employees what type of store this was and was told, "its like a Walmart but just a step below them but a step above a Dollar store." And that it tailors to the more lower income people.**Overall...Amazing Prices! I did over hear a few other reviews on Google that they don't to returns to well and that several customers have had trouble trying to return items to this type of store which is it only draw back. But hey, I'm a fan of this place.Cheers!

This has the SLOWEST cashiers EVER!!! I left and went to Walmart. 4 people in line and still took 26 mins.

Cashier Bridgette (College Park) was very rude and had a nasty tone.I respect my elders! But if you don't want to work stay home.

I love roses..great bargains fast friendly check out, at customer service..The people are great the store is clean and the store manager is awesome!! She handles complaints very well and she loves her employees! She keeps her store organized and clean!! The associates and other managers are great also!!Keep up the good work Team!!!
