Rocket Billy's

Keep this in mind "Don't judge a book by it's cover". If you do you will miss out on one of the best things around. Let me get this part out of the way, it looks like a trailer on cinder blocks, because it's a trailer on cinder blocks. With a little shed roof and some old patio furniture out front. But that isn't why you come to Rocket Billy's! The food, it's made to order, and it's good. Like, prepare to be amazed at what comes out of the tiny trailer GOOD. The food is quick and the ladies who work here are always super nice. I like the cheesesteak or the chicken cheese steak. The burgers are also good. The fries are hot and offered in several various flavor combos, like Rocket Fries which have Old Bay on them. Anything you eat here is likely to be great. You can find better food on the go anywhere around.

I have been going to Rocket Billy's for years. Great sandwiches and hotdogs! It's a great place to stop and pick up a wonderful lunch.

Great food for the price. My favorite is the chicken cheesesteak fully loaded The tuna bites are awesome too - I get them to put on my salad for dinner.

I've driven past Rocket Billy's for more than four years and never noticed it. But on this day, recommended to me by the music store guys, I had the most wonderful burger, a Bacon, Mac and Cheese Burger. Carefully prepared, a 1/3 pound beef patty, with a pile of perfectly cooked slab bacon, topped by a large spoonful of macaroni and cheese. It's not wet and creamy, like Mom's mac and cheese, rather a dryer, moldable mass that is shaped with a large spoon to fit on the sandwich. This was a hefty meal, not needing fries or even condiments (maybe a little ketchup) though their pickle slices were a delicious accompaniment. Very filling and satisfying. The price was very right. The criteria for all of my reviews is, would I eat here again? The answer is a resounding YES!

5 stars again and again and again. Today was the Italian sausage with peppers and onions and for 7.49 I could not believe the size of the sausage along with the generous onions and peppers. The bun was overwhelmed with the sausage but it was a nice sized bun and was fresh. I am always happy with my food from there and I make it a point to put off eating anywhere else when I know that I am going to be close by around the lunch time. The barbecue is amazing too and you go wrong with the huge sandwich you get for 4.59.

If you advertise a "grilled chicken tenderloin," it is essential that you have a grill. Heating a frozen piece of chicken on a griddle does not create a grilled piece of chicken. There is really no excuse for a lunch place to be without tomatoes at 11:30 AM. I don't sense much enthusiasm for doing a good job. I'll check back in a month or so.

Great food, breakfast or lunch. I've ordered sandwiches just the way I like them. The staff is awesome and helpful.

Burgers are made with high quality beef and cooked to order. Their cheesesteaks rank right up there with anything I've had in Philly. Please give this little spot of heaven a try.

Had the steak and cheese with peppers, onions and mushrooms and it was awesome and a huge portion.
