Golf is my new thing. I got some golf clubs and shoes for Christmas. My clubs are in a super cute purple and black bag. I've played twice before - once here and the other time at a range out close to Smithfield. I'd like to step my game up and actually hit the ball more than I ruin the green.Getting to the point, Riverfront is a beautiful course. I'm somewhat afraid of hitting a house from the course......eh, who am I kidding, I can't hit the ball that hard and far anyway ;). I've been to the driving range once, on our second visit, they were closed. Bummer. I do like that you drive off the grass and not mats. Lastly, this might be common sense to the golf pros out there, but its important to note that you have to have a collared shirt and cannot wear jeans on the driving range.

This golf course is in great condition especially since it's December. As you can expect the only that on the golf course that is green are the greens. Everything else resembles the fall/winter color change. Still, this place is in excellent condition. I've always particularly liked this course. The greens were a little slow Saturday but not one time did anyone in my group complain about how the greens were rolling...always a good sign. Keep the condition like this throughout the cold months and the summer of 2013 will sure be fun!

One of the best courses I've played in two years...Heron Ridge and Signature (West Neck) was my #1 and #2, now Riverfront has the top honors...Beautiful plus challenging for both amatuer and better players...

This is one of the best golf courses in the Hampton Roads area. The course is always in immaculate condition and has a few challenging holes. The greens usually run a bit on the fast side. I highly recommend this course for a great round of golf.

Let me start by saying Riverfront is a beautiful course. That being said still does not out weigh the bad. On June 24th 2021 my brother and I had a tee time booked for 5:03pm. We had been looking forward to playing this course for weeks now. We get there and pay our money, 40$ a piece for 18 not bad.. The starter never said a word so we grabbed a cart and got our bags and headed to number 1. Approaching our tee time we headed towards the box, only to be stopped by a group of 4 saying "we are in a tournament" y'all can't play ahead of us. So we waited and waited for multiple groups in the "tournament" to go ahead of us. We finally flagged down I'm assuming the course manager for the day. And asked how many more groups are left in the tournament? He barked his reply, " y'all are not playing number 1, if y'all wanted to play y'all should not be on 1 go to 10" long story short being out there for 3 hours we only played 7 holes because they packed the course with tournament people and continuously over booked people knowing it would be slow. The attitude of the staff at the course was not welcoming and not appreciated. And ultimately it was a waste of money.I understand golf can be slow sometimes but usually everybody tries to keep the pace of play steady. It was just poor course management and they seemed to not care at all about the non tournament players that day. I will not be back for a long time, as I can go elsewhere and be treated with respect and have a better time.

Great course. Have not played a better one in this area. Accidentally booked a tee time for the wrong day. When I showed up, the pro shop staff and the starter were very accommodating and helpful and got us out very quickly. Great customer service and amazing course for an affordable price.
