Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

I've been eyeballing the drive thru for a while now waiting for the right time to go to Rita's. There was only 2 people in line, so as I was driving in a few more cars beat me to the line. It still wasn't a long wait. But I refuse to wait in line 20-25 minutes for a scoop of ice cream or treat. So today was my day. When I got to the menu they didn't have strawberry gelati on the menu for the week, so my heart sank a little bit because my mind wasn't prepared for a different option.. So I chose a Oreo and Reese concrete. It was about $9. I won't lie, it wasn't what I wanted. But it was tasty and creamy!!They have several options like frozen coffee drinks, shakes, blendini's and more. I was a little disappointed at the toppings they had, I just felt they could have more to choose from. Also $9 for a small cup of ice cream is steep, but I guess that's the times we live in nowadays. I do like the fact that they have a drive thru but if you come at the wrong time you could get stuck. It's one way in and out. So if it's 5 or 6 cars ahead of you, you're not going anywhere!! At that point you might as well just stay.. lol. This trip worked out I guess. Check them out...

Lanya provided incredible service and ensured I had a great experience! She filled all our cups to the top, which is something other service members at the same location have occasionally failed to do. It might seem small, but it really made a big difference. On top of that, she hooked me up with some extra gummy bears, which was such a thoughtful touch. Lanya's attention to detail and effort to go the extra mile really stood out. I drove to you princess anne location tonight 9/17/24 and got there about 9:35pm. Your app said you close at 10pm. The open sign was still on but no one would say anything at the drive thru. so i pulled forward, two girls inside cleaning and didn't acknowledge me but preceded to turn the open sign off. One very disappointed i wasn't able to get our medium gelatos but two that i drove there instead of going home and they closed early.

A nice sweet treat! My daughter has a tree nut allergy and they were very tentative at making sure we had a pleasant experience. Service was quick! There's seating right outside the order window. Definitely recommend!

We. Love. Rita's! Talk about a childhood favorite. This location took over the snow ball place. And I believe this is the replacement for the one on providence. Any ways. The quality of Rita's doesn't change. It's great! I love their custard, so creamy and thick! Their ice's are delicious and refreshing. Our recent visit took a lot longer than I would have hoped. Lots of people and only one staff member to take orders. Thankfully it doesn't take away from the treats. Hoping more visits will move smoother but that would be my only complaint here!

First time having Rita's since COVID happened. Was I excited? You better believe it. First time I had Rita's was in Philadelphia over 30 years ago. We visited the Princess Anne location. I was greeted by the employee who was very kind and friendly. They have a drive thru but I chose to walk up to the window. My husband got the cherry Italian ice and I went for the limited time cold brew caramel frozen coffee. My husband tends to stick to what he knows and likes. Of course the cherry ice is amazing but I like to try the new and exciting. The caramel frozen coffee was really good. I would have liked it even more if it hadn't been so sweet. Next time I will try the original cold brew frozen coffee. It was a perfect day for these yummy treats. I totally recommend coffee lovers to try the limited time frozen coffees before they are gone. This location looked clean and organized both inside and out.

It gosh dang done its job.Rita's replaced the old snoball place here for the best! Cute quick spot to get your custard and slushies. Can't go wrong with a soft serve. Nice spot!

They just opened yesterday and despite the line, they were efficient. We parked and ordered at the window. They have a special window to pick up mobile orders from their app. I had 3 kids with me so I forgot to grab a pic of the QR code and the window. It looks like it's a drive thru window for mobile pick up since it's right where you drive to go to parking instead of placing a drive thru order. I didn't see any public restrooms but there's a 7-11 next door. I can see traffic backing up onto the street here in the summer. We LOVE Rita's. We have been waiting for this one to open as it's right on our way as we drive each week. The staff were super friendly even while handling many orders and a never ending line.

This drive-thru experience that basically specializes in dessert/drinks. We went through the first time on a whim and we're blown out of the water for the desserts that we got. We have since been back five or six times and have given Word of Mouth recommendations to a bunch of our friends. If you're in the area or even close by is definitely worth a tripRita's basically specializes in a combination of Italian frozen ice and custards. They sell their desserts either in layers of custard and Ice than custard than ice or a drink called a blendini which mixes the two.The Italian Ice is exceptionally flavorful and is the way you wanted every slushie to be as a kid. Dripping with flavor and Frozen goodness. They have different flavors of ice all the time and they frequently rotate them. I actually downloaded their app just so I can check what flavors they have and they also offer to send alerts when your favorite flavor is in stock. I highly recommend the strawberry in my opinion it's the best followed by Cherry and Dragon Blood. But they frankly have like 30 or 40 different flavors that they could make and they generally offer 9 to 10 at a time.The custard is also rich and creamy they have options of vanilla and chocolate and often a specialty custard.Pricing is basically the same as buying blizzards at Dairy Queen so it's not cheap but it's also not really that expensive. And if you get it you will enjoy it well beyond the price.

Wait time is ridiculous. I paid to much money for nothing. Parking lot is awful and can't get in or out smoothly.
