Rick Lobster Roll

As Bruna C noted, definitely worth a stop and maybe even a detour. Rick's small truck on the side of the road won't stand out much. His lobster and crab rolls will.The lobster roll is served chilled with a bit of mayo. Decent portions of lobster are found on top a lightly toasted hot dog bun. The flavor is mixed well.Likewise, the crab roll is piled high with crab. You can get it with or without a little old bay on top (I recommend with). If you can only choose one, I recommend you get both.Otherwise friendly service with a small table to enjoy before you hop back into your car. Hit it on the way in and way out of town!

Overall, good meat in the rolls. Don't expect some massive roll, but it will fill you up. The fish and chips were plentiful. Crab was nice and sweet in the crab roll. Service was very good and it took less than 15 minutes to get the order. There is a vacant parking lot that they have their wagon sitting on, so you can park your car there right quick. Also, a truck stop next door (Royal Farms) with car and truck parking.

In prep for my Cape Charles weekend, I found this place on Yelp and was the most excited about it above all other restaurants. The homemade road signs you see along the way make the experience even more exciting. We ordered both a crab and lobster roll, because why choose?The cost was high. The wait was reasonable. The road was loud. The rolls were incredible. SO much meat on these guys. You could taste the sweetness of the crab. I think I preferred the lobster texture because the pieces were smaller, but the crab killed in flavor. The salty seasoning on top was perfect. Why only 4 stars? The buns were a bit too soft. They get mushy quickly. I do prefer a crustier bun to pair with the softness of the sandwich contents. And these contents are unrivalled.

Tiny teeny portions - I mean tiny. The lobster roll itself wasn't bad but it was $20 and was served on a small hot dog bun. No kidding. I come down to Cape Charles pretty frequently and it was 2 stops in one...1st and last.

Five stars, generous ammount of yummy Maine lobster, lightly toasted bread, very good, went back for more next day.The crab roll was also very good, but for me the lobster rolls were the best.

Definitely worth the stop and possibly even the detour. We tried everything on the menu except the hot dog. Everything is prepared in house and is delicious. The clam chowder is old style between RI and Maine and not too creamy, the lobster roll is perfect, the fried haddock is lightly battered and fried (not oily at all). The crab roll is a serious contender to the lobster roll, it's nice and juicy, a little sweet and served with a touch of old bay. The fried clams are the star of the show. Nothing is frozen, everything is overnighted from Maine except the locally sourced crabs. Definitely worth the stop and possibly even the detour.

Wow. This little food truck just after we crossed the bay bridge (heading North) was fantastic! Excellent lobster roll (little bit of Mayo, huge chunks of lobster on a toasted New England style bun) and crab rolls. Well worth the stop.

Nothing fancy, but the food is worth it's weight in gold. The owner (New England native) was super kind and helpful. Over all super satisfied with the food quality and experience. Thank you very much.

Unbelievably great food and service, pulled up, pull the tailgate down, ordered up, popped a cold open, and chowed down.Do not miss this chow, it is the best.
