DO NOT go to this business! My sister & I had photos taken in JULY 2012. The turn-around time was supposed to be 2 weeks. Photographer/Business Owner, Brandy Hamilton, is VERY unresponsive & totally unwilling to give us our photos, which by the way are sexy & suggestive, and has not even offered to give us a refund. I feel completely violated to have been ripped off, especially since she has photos of me that are of that nature. A lot of trust goes into a pin-up session & that trust has most definitely been betrayed. So I have none of the photos that I paid for & I am out $200.After several months of begging her to give us our photos, I reported this business to the Better Business Bureau, only to find that others had also reported them as well. Retro-Vice did not respond to the Better Business Bureau when contacted causing the case to be closed. It's been a full 8 months since our photography session with Brandy Hamilton. I've had a bad taste in my mouth ever since. I don't have a lot of money. I was splurging to do something nice for my sister while I was visiting. So spending $200 is kind of a big deal to me. I have never been treated this way by any business in my entire life. And I will continue to let everyone know what a rip-off this is until I get my photos & my money back.

Similar to the other reviewer, I had pictures taken November 2011. There was a rush for Christmas, understandable under the circumstances, however I never received any proofs or online viewing gallery to be able to choose pictures. If Brandy had thought about what she was doing she wouldn't have taken so many clients that kept her too busy to actually take care of any of her clients properly. I was not able to select picture to give to my fiancee for Christmas, nor was I able to send him any while I was on deployment. I tried contacting her several times while I was on deployment and she would not return any voicemails or emails. The other reviewer was lucky she got her photos. It's been almost a year, and she still won't talk to me.

I bought this Groupon months ago, nearly a year ago thinking it would be great to get the shots done for an engagement gift for my fiancee. I have called numerous times, at least a dozen over the course of 6 months trying to make contact with this company to schedule the photo shoot. I have already PAID for this service and my Groupon expires in early November. This is becoming ridiculous and I doubt I'll get my money's worth. I wonder if there is a way to file a complaint with Groupon because I've seen them offer another one recently, don't buy it!

I purchased a promotion for Retro Vice through Living Social. I had my photo session in mid October with the intent of these photos being a Christmas gift. The owner/photographer Brandy Hamilton assured me there was plenty of time to get my photos. It took 30 days before I even received my proofs despite my sending phone messages, emails and text messages that she never responded to. After quickly making my proof selection and with an assurance from Ms. Hamilton in her email that "the photo editing process would be expedited", I never received my photos by Christmas. And to this day, now 80 days since my photo session, I still have never received any photos from this business. BEWARE she does not return phone calls, emails or text messages. I did receive my money back from Living Social though.

I had such a fantastic time on my photo shoot!! Brandy Marie is so much fun and really makes sure you get the hair, makeup, outfits, and shots you're looking for! I got my proofs really quickly and it was so hard to decide which photos to get because there were so many wonderful shots to choose from! I truly look forward to working with Brandy Marie and Retro Vice again!

A complete waste of money. The session was nice enough, but it cost $200 and we never received our pictures or a refund. Our session was 8 months ago and the promised turn around time was 2 weeks. Brandy has been completely unresponsive and unprofessional.

Let me start this off by saying I generally do not write reviews..positive or negative..because I understand that some people can happen across a great experience or perhaps a company's bad day. However, I feel so negatively about my experience with Retro Vice that I felt the need to comment. I had purchased a Groupon for this company- super excited by the work I had seen in the portfolio & thought it would be a fun thing to do myself. I tried to contact this company for MONTHS with little to no response. I left phone messages, facebook messages, and emails trying to get in touch. Luckily, I was able to get my money back from Groupon after their failed attempts to contact this business with no response..and let's be honest..if Groupon can't get get a response..the average person certainly isn't going to be able to. Still unsure? Just look at the facebook page for this company...comments from several people about not having their phone calls returned...and if you don't see them...beware...any "negative" comments are generally purposely taken down....all of mine have been.

I discovered this company through Groupon. After purchasing the groupon, it took me 2 months to contact the owner to set up an appointment. After finally getting ahold of the owner I was able to set up my appointment (Jan 27, 2012). While there, I actually had a pretty good time. I was told I would be contacted within a couple of days to see the proofs. Well, 3 months have passed since my photos were taken and I have yet to see the proofs. During those 3 months, I had tried calling, leaving voicemails, sending text messages, and email. After being practically ignored for those 3 months, I sent her a text message telling her I was contacting a lawyer. After contacting a lawyer and informing the owner I had done so, on April 30, 2012, the owner finally told me that she had lost my photos. (Only after making multiple excuses: being sick, technical issues, electrical issues, deaths, family issues, etc). The owner finally refunded me my money because I was tired of waiting around for my pictures that would never see.
