This is a nice location right off of the highway In Virginia Beach. It is not within walking distance to any shops, although I did walk to the Antique store about a mile away in the winter cold this week Jan 9, 2025, dressed in a wool hoodie. The facility has a gym, dining area, pool, and a lot of parking. The hotel is newer and that is why we chose this location. The breakfast bar is well stocked with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffle makers, cereal, bagels, and English muffins, as well as hot water for tear and bold coffee. This is the CLEANEST breakfast area/bar I have ever been to in the USA. The ladies who work the bar are Delia and Carol, who are meticulously keeping the food restocked, and they do a great job in replenishing the food, as well as keeping the areas spotless. Keith, their manager was very pleasant and gracious. Great team of individuals! I was very impressed. The room was great. It has a kitchenette with a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, stove and oven. The cookware was ample and I could probably cook a meal if I needed to do so.There is a living room with widescreen television, as well as a desk. The bedroom had 2 queen beds which were very comfortable. I'm very picky about mattresses and pillows, and these did the job.The closets and dresser were adequate for our 3 day, 4 night stay. The shower was great. The bathroom was spacious, and it was kept very clean. Kudos to the staff on maintaining the bathroom.Overall, I was very pleased to with our stay and I'd definitely stay here again.Great place for a "longer" term stay. Great staff. Highly recommend.

Came through for a family member's wedding and had a pleasant stay! The rooms are spacious, kitchen well stocked with supplies/utensils, very clean, attentive staff (needed extra pillows and they provide!), complimentary breakfast, complimentary breakfast, parking included/no pass needed, pool, updated gym, expansive lobby area, firepit. The hotel itself is close to the highway and town center area full of entertainment and food options. The staff was friendly and would wish us a good day/evening which was endearing. I would get my reusable water bottle refilled at the gym and at the juice station during breakfast (the tray is removable on the bottom for those with bigger bottles). The other major highlight was the complimentary breakfast: during the week they have a waffle station setup that's user friendly. On the weekends they had pancakes, bread/bagel options, various proteins of egg, sausages, bacon. The yogurt and oat milk plus cows milk was nicely chilled. I loved the salsa and shredded cheese as well, love to top my eggs with that. The oatmeal was delicious plus the toppings adequate - loved how they offered a variety of nuts and dried fruit for the healthy option. There's self-serve coffee and tea although I didn't see any caffeine-free tea. Overall would highly recommend this hotel for the area. 10/10!

Fantastic rooms, terrible policies. I stayed a full week at this hotel for work. I had a ton of supplies and equipment sent to the hotel and really appreciate that the hotel was able to accommodate receiving everything. Staff were nice. And as someone who is sensitive to noise, I really appreciated that they do have a policy about quiet hours after 10 pm. The rooms are super nice - clean and spacious. The AC unit provides great white noise. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel based on the rooms and comfort. However, they have a policy that they need 24 hours advanced notice if you need to check out early. My colleague and I both had a change to our work schedules and needed to check out a day early. I checked out before 7 am and the front desk worker did not say a single thing to me about still being charged for an extra night. I didn't realize this until I got back to do my expense report. I called the hotel to ask why I was charged when I checked out well before checkout time, as I know this isn't a Marriot policy. They said it's a hotel-specific policy. This is absurd. People's schedules change! I travel frequently for work and have never run into this at other hotels. The front desk needs to warn people about this during check in. This also happened to my colleague on her bill. Although the rooms are great, this policy would prevent me from staying with this hotel again, as I can't always foresee what my work schedule will be during travel. I am staying at this hotel again next week and would cancel if I could - another policy to be aware of is that they charge a full night's deposit when your stay is booked. This is incredibly inconvenient for expense reporting. If you know the exact dates you are staying, then you shouldn't have an issue. But if you are a work traveler like me and may need to change your schedule, then look at other hotels. There are plenty right around the same area as this hotel.

This Residence Inn is exactly what you would expect and on brand for a Residence Inn. I stayed in one of the larger rooms with a separate bedroom with my family of 5 to break up our drive to OBX. I have no complaints with this property at all. Staff was very friendly, hotel was clean, as was the room. The breakfast in the morning was actually great. Hotel breakfast can be hit or miss but I thought this was a pretty good spread for a Residence Inn. The hotel is in a good location too, near restaurants and retail so its definitely not in the middle of nowhere. I would definitely stay here again, either by myself or with my family.

My son decided to go to college in Virginia Beach and in the last year we have tried several Marriott properties near to his school. This is definitely going to be our go to. The employees are super nice and helpful and the hotel is clean enough. I wouldn't stay here on vacation but for a quick pickup or college move in or out it works just fine. There is no restaurant or bar but they do have a breakfast (can't comment we are not breakfast people and have never used it). We always book a larger room and have never had a problem with noise of any kind. My only pet peeve (which is minor) is there is no mirror acceptable for doing make up. The lighting in the bathroom and over the large space outside of it is horrible. I don't even really wear makeup but to put my contacts in I have to use the mirror in the bedroom. Not a big deal and we will be heading back in the fall.

I used my Marriott loyalty points for a 3 night stay for a very good friend of mine who was traveling to this area due to a family member being very ill. I picked the Residence Inn because I always enjoy staying at them and they usually have excellent customer service and a more business oriented customer base. It was important that my friend have quiet and restful nights. The first night, around 11:30pm, the people in the room above her started moving furniture around and kids were jumping around. This went on for a while before she called the front desk, only to be met with rudeness and an unapologetic worker. He told her that they had just checked in and there's nothing he could do. She waited a little longer and the banging did not stop so she called again and got a different person and that person helped her move rooms at 1am.Night 2, there was a party going on on her floor. She didn't call to complain because they were only mildly disturbing and she really didn't want to complain or have to move rooms for a second night.Around midnight, the room next to hers started smoking weed. The smell was so strong that she called the front desk and the same worker from the night before. He was, again, rude and unapologetic. Cutting her off, not letting her finish her sentences. He brought up that she had moved the night before, as if to imply that she is the problem. He told her he couldn't move her. No apologies. She packed up, for a second night in a row, but this time left the hotel at 2am. I offered to use my points so my friend can have a stress free, cost free few nights while she dealt with a very difficult personal situation. Instead, all she got was two sleepless nights and a load of rude and unprofessional behavior. I have worked in the customer service industry for 30 years. You just don't treat customers that way. EVER. It is hard for me to imagine why she was treated this way.Horrible experience. Avoid this hotel like the plague, unless you want to have sleepless nights and be treated like you're unimportant and don't matter.

Just recently stayed here, and truly loved every minute of it! When can you say that?! My son absolutely loved and enjoyed swimming in their very huge pool, we all enjoyed the included breakfast that had numerous options for various types of eating lifestyles, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the rooms were so very roomy and comfortable. My bed was exactly how it should be...comfortable and sheets soft! I felt like they do a very good job at making sure everyone is well taken care of, and the outdoor grill was perfect addition for what we needed in grilling out burgers we bought, and the fire pit was such a great extra as well in just a relaxing spot to sit by in the evening when unwinding. In fact, I just felt that all around my money was well spent in choosing this hotel! I am a return customer here....and will be returning once again next I am in town!

**WARNING - lengthy review**All I can say is WOW! I've always been a Hilton guy, but this hotel made me switch my loyalty to Marriott. I stayed at this location for 62 nights, and I'm so happy that I did. Where to start...- Staff. The staff here is fantastic, and I have not one negative thing to say. Everyone had a great attitude and was super helpful.- Room. The hotel's photos matched the experience. My room had a kitchen with virtually everything I needed for cooking, a full-size fridge, and beautiful counters. The flat-screen TV was excellent, the bed was comfortable, and the desk was exactly what I required for my stay. I'm a part-time college student, so I spent a considerable amount of time at that desk working on homework, studying, and watching Hulu between assignments. The bathroom was spacious, considering it was only me staying here. -Hotel amenities. I used the grill almost daily while I was here. They keep the propane tank full, provide utensils, and it's usually up for grabs. I had no issues with the grill. The hotel pool is nice and refreshing if you fancy a dip. The weight room and exercise area are excellent. It's small, but you can burn some calories if you want.-Location. The hotel is in a prime location with easy access to food, shopping, groceries, and the interstate. If you're looking to go for a walk, I recommend checking out Mt. Trashmore park--it's very awesome! If you're staying in VB, stay here if it's available. I do recommend booking in advance because they consistently sellout all of their rooms.

The hotel was great. It is very nice, clean and rooms are spacious and modern. They have plenty of parking. We had an incident about overwhelming smell that we could not sleep. We reported the issue to Keith and he was dismissive. Later we received a call from the hotel and were lucky that Mary and Airey took care of it. Both these 2 ladies were awesome. To me that is what I call good customer service. Mary said we will make it right. Keith on the other hand didn't think our issue was serious. I want to thank Mary and Airey once again we will sure stay at your hotel again.
