Patio dining with expansive water views sets wonderful tone for a sunny, spring Saturday. We started with cocktails and shared the crab dip which was served with soft pita rounds. I then had the crab bisque and the Shrimp Po Boy. Everything was fresh and delicious. Our server was excellent.

Day tripped to Reedville for no reason other than it was a beautiful sunny day and perfect for driving to somewhere new. The outside of this restaurant is beautiful and it's set along the coastline had me yearning for my old hometown that was along the Long Island Sound. I was greeted and seated promptly and that was a given since it wasn't busy for a Sunday late morning. Menu is small and for a seafood restaurant no seafood soup??? I was so in the mood for a crab bisque or a clam chowder but nope no soups. Prices were rather $$$ for both apps and entrees. Settled for a wagyu burger medium rare with fries but was brought onion rings. Wasn't upset since they looked and tasted amazing. My burger was well done vs medium rare but I was starving so dismissed that. Staff was attentive and caring but not hovering which how things should be done. Since this is a small town and choices for a Sunday morning early lunch I just wished the menu was a bit more expansive to maybe include a chicken sandwich and I keep going back to why no soup. No soup for you!

You mostly pay for the ambiance. Service is great. Food is ok but a bit overpriced. There typically isn't a wait so you can get right in

Appetizers were good. Service was slow but friendly. The entrees came out cold. A member of our table ordered a medium rare steak that came out well done. When he respectfully mentioned it, our waitress asked how we can make it right. He responded "however your management sees fit". No one came to the table or tried to make it right... when he approached the manager, the manager said "I don't know what the big deal is". I don't know why a manager thinks that's an appropriate response. This restaurant has so much potential and management is killing it. We won't be back - go to horn harbor instead!

We had loved this restaurant for many years, even when it was Tommy's. It's had always been our "go to" for birthdays and other celebrations when we are at the river. Something has happened in the last 18 months of so. The quality of the food has really gone down hill. We had a few questionable meals last summer and fall, but chalked it up to the summer crowds. We decided to try it again last night, driving over 45 minutes each way to get there. There were 7 of us to celebrate a milestone birthday. I had made reservations for 4, more than a week ago, then added 2 more mid week and 1 yesterday. Apparently with 7 people, you get stuck in the "cave room" that's very DARK and a walk through for the servers. Totally not what I expected. The excuse was we added more people to our reservation. All other guest were seated in the bright and sunny enclosed porch. The food .. our reservation was at 6pm. Three of us ordered the weekend special - coconut shrimp, my (6 ) shrimp were overcooked. Six of us had gotten our food before my husbands food arrived, several minutes after the rest of us. The waiter initially brought a wrong entree to our table. The rolls were cold, the "loaded" baked potato (as a side choice ) was tiny and only had a few pieces of cheese and bacon in them. No butter, no sour cream. We had to ask for that. The "premium side" of asparagus was way over cooked and cold. The portions have gotten smaller, One of the people in our party got the Captains platter and there weren't any Oysters on it. After questioning it, he was brought Oysters. Where is the quality control in the kitchen? The prices have gone up, the portions have gotten smaller and quality has gone way down.

Food was excellent. Came in for dinner, sat at a lovely table near the water. Shannell was our server - she was fantastic and personable. We ordered appetizers, I had the haddock piccata, which was perfectly cooked and lightly breaded to perfection. I can't wait to come back! Please send my thank you to this team.

Reedville Market has long been our favorite restaurant on the Northern Neck, but judging by our experience tonight (and reviews for the last few months) it is going downhill fast. Tonight was mediocre. The best thing about tonight were the bus boys (or maybe they're considered server assistants) who actually checked on us a few times when our waitress, M.S., would disappear for 20+ minutes at a time. The service was poor, the food was underwhelming and they were out of both dinner and drink specials we'll before the end of the night. We'll probably give it one more chance, mainly because of positive experiences in the past, however a similar experience to tonight and you will lose our business and the dozens of recommendations we give you each month.

This small Cobia portion was $32. The server was good, but the overall service is slow. The place has probably seen better days. Steaks, which no one ordered were in the high $40 to $50 range. This is no Morton's, Capital Grille, or Ruth's Chris. The tuna sashimi was very good. Onion rings were a soggy catastrophe. Best to manage expectations and stick to a beer and a burger or appetizers.
