The fries were amazing, and the smoked meats--especially the brisket--were pure perfection. Servers were upbeat and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. However, the cost felt disproportionately high compared to what you receive. Be prepared to pay more than you'd expect, and note that website prices may not reflect recent increases.Ordering can be a bit tricky. Despite having two phone lines, I frequently got voicemail when trying to place an order, which was a bit frustrating. When I finally got through, they efficiently took payment over the phone. Additionally, they warned me about limited availability for popular items, which proved accurate--the last slab of brisket was being cut when I arrived around 7 PM.Despite these minor inconveniences, Redwood is an incredible spot for smoked beef, pork, or chicken. Their sides and sauces are exceptional, and the flavors make it worth the effort. I often buy meats by the pound to enjoy throughout the week and bring friends here regularly, all of whom leave impressed.While the line can sometimes stretch out the door, don't let that deter you--it moves quickly, and the food is absolutely worth the wait. Redwood is one of my favorite spots for BBQ, and I'll continue to visit, despite the higher prices. For BBQ lovers, it's a must-try!

Arrived at 5:30pm for some BBQ that a coworker considered the best he's ever had. I guess today wasn't completely their best showing.Chicken, collards, jalapeno sausage already sold out which is understandable as the day is about to end. Ordered two meat sampler with garlic and green onion sausage and spare ribs. The sides were mac and cheese and cilantro slaw. The mac and cheese was basic and the noodles were over cooked. Taste was fine. The spare ribs were terrific and I'd get them again in a heart beat. The sausage; something was off, almost like spongey undercooked in the middle. Taste was ok and they were greasy. The slaw was slaw. One of the food preparers was touching the poker chips and food with her gloved food hand. No idea what kind of stuff is on those chips.Coworkers also ordered brisket with sausage and pulled pork. Their sausage was strange too, same spongey undercooked center. Brisket looked nice and juicy. Sides were beans, broccoli salad, red bliss potatoes. We shared the wings; had them with dry rub. Wings were fine, can get good wings from a lot of places.Overall the only hit was the spare ribs. Cost way too much to be a repeat visit place, but then again I'm here for work and probably won't be back for a while.

Hands down the best bbq I've had in years!!! The burnt ends are straight !!! So good, and you can't go wrong with any side, whether it's the Mac n cheese, fries, or collard greens.The only main dish I've ordered has been the burnt ends, and it was so good I ordered seconds the first time I came in.You will not be disappointed, come give it a try!

Delicious. I had the pork spare ribs, Mac and cheese and baked beans. I actually ate this sooooo quickly that I failed to take any photos. I'll update this upon my return visit. Tasty ribs

Lets talk about it because why did it take me this long to find this place. Street parking available or behind the business its a small lot. Better come early because at noon they were already all out of their collard greens (bummer!). The meat it served after a quick scale check, so don't worry everyone will get what they are supposed to get. Everything was good and them brisket tips just melt in your mouth (like seriously). Be prepared to pay about $20 for a plate plus a drink. Indoor and outdoor (uncovered) seating available.

I ordered online and the service was fast and refreshingly professional and fun!! The portions were a little smaller than I expected but the sausage I ordered is house made so with prices now it's understandable! The chiccarones tho!!! For 4.50$ they were so good!!! I was snacking on them on the way home!! Sad I'm leaving and won't get to try again but very impressed with this BBQ joint!!

I can't say enough good things about this place. Not only was the customer service exceptional, but the food was absolutely, insanely incredible. This has to be my favorite place to get food in the whole state of Virginia. I can't recommend it enough! I also love the option for indoor and outdoor seating. I will come here time after time and it never disappoints!

Only thing was that they don't have any domestic BEER . Brisket was excellent and the sausage was great. Sides were good but beans need some love

We tried Redwood Smoke Shack for the first time during the Wings Festival. We were impressed, so we finally decided to try the other items from their menu.We went for a Naked Classic Platter and a Sammich Classic Platter, and everything in it was delicious. We weren't disappointed. Smoked Meats: House Made Sausage, Brisket, and Pulled Chicken - Very moist and tasty White Cheddar Mac & Cheese - Our favorite side from their menu. The White Cheddar makes this side stand out from the rest. Broccoli Salad - It's not your usual and basic Broccoli. The dressing makes this vegetable more exciting. Pit Smoked Beans The Meat Sweats Platter is the best option to try all their Smoked Meats.If you love BBQ, Redwood Smoke Shack is a MUST. It's now our favorite BBQ joint in the area.

Burnt ends, Mac and cheese and smoked beans were all very good. Cool atmosphere and worth the drive.
