Redhead Bay Cafe has given me the best brunch I've had in a long time. When I say I am IMPRESSED, this is an understatement. We called ahead of time for an 11am reservation and they accepted but forgot to take down our name so when we showed up we had to wait again for 15 minutes but it wasn't a long wait at all. There are 2 buildings and when we walked in, it looked like a cute little event area with a holiday-decorated stage up front, I wouldn't be surprised if they have live music and events in the area! Super clean and homey and festive :) The food was magnificent. I started off with the campfire latte with almond milk and the latte was pretty decently sized and tasted like a marshmallow but the coffee content was generous. It was a little dessert in a cup. The she crab soup was to die for, I wished I gotten the bowl instead of just the cup. Perfectly creamy, amazingly seasoned, generous amount of lump crab; chef's kiss for sure. The smoked salmon Benedict was delicious as well. I got a side of waffle fries and they were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Perfectly crispy and not too salty. The Benedict was super fluffy and the hollandaise topped with dill was harmonious with the biscuit, salmon and eggs.their portions were bigger than I thought and I couldn't finish my food but man, I would love to come back and try the rest of their menu. This place was awesome and i honestly cant wait to plan my next visit here!

This was our second visit - it was much less busy than our first time. We didn't wait at all, which was great! Except for a party of 5 + a toddler we were sat at the tiniest table ever. Our waitress was kind and attentive! We all had drinks they came out fast and were delicious. Presentation is always on point. & the food never disappoints. The chicken sandwich was a table favorite along with the crab Benedict. We love coming here for special occasions since it's a far drive.

Where do I start....This restaurant is welcoming. The ambience is beautiful , the bathrooms are clean and the photo grass wall is cute. There is also a stage that is decorated according to whatever holiday it is. We were allowed to take pictures there which added to the awesome experience and atmosphere. Our server was Deanna and she was awesome and knowledgeable about the menu. She was also a little personal ( I like that about people). You got the feeling she didn't mind coming to work ( I like that too). Her service was on point and she didn't miss a beat. We will definitely be asking for her again. Now on to the food..... EVERYTHING WAS GOOD!!!! I had avocado toast (wait before you get in ya feelings about me having avocado toast) this was the first time I saw options of avocado toast. I chose the Mediterranean avocado toast and it did not miss. I enjoyed them accompanied with grits. Someone's grandmama was back there making dem grits. The grits were so good. We ordered two portions of the shrimp and grits to take home and yes, they heated up perfectly well. That's when you know ya grits are good...when you can successfully reheat them. My husband had a veggie omelette which he says was bangin. He had the potatoes on the side and there were good too. My little one had a pancake with sausage links and she said it's now her new favorite. I have photos for you.... I hope you enjoy your experience as much as I did. Ohhhh yeah also have a holiday coffee with almond milk.... That was good too! Not just good but perfect.

I've heard nothing but phenomenal things about Redhead Bay Cafe so I was very excited to dine in on a Sunday morning to try it out. As I pulled into the parking lot around 10am expecting to park, I was informed that the weekends are valet parking only, but I didn't mind. The valet attendant was very nice. The wait to be seated was about 35-40 mins but the bar seating in the additional building was 'first come, first serve'. Thankfully, we were able to find two, open seats at the bar and didn't have to wait at all.Once we were seated, the bar attendant passed us menus but we weren't greeted at all for about 10 mins after we were seated. Not even a 'hello'. The bar attendant seemed to be very busy with drink orders. Thankfully, it allowed for us time to look over the menu. I started with the Mimosa and I decided on the Fried Green Tomatoes and the Seafood Omelette with Crab Meat.As we waited for our food, we were provided our drinks. My friend ordered the Espresso Martini Flight which included Tiramisu, Salted Caramel, and S'Mores flavors! The Tiramisu was my favorite. Once the food arrived, everything looked great! The omelette was delicious and I loved the potatoes that were served with it. Unfortunately, the bar attendant forgot to put in my order for the Fried Green Tomatoes so I told her not to worry about it. I'll have to try those next time.Overall, the food definitely made up for the service. A singer was performing on the stage, which gave it a nice vibe, but the music was a bit loud. If I return again, I'd definitely wait to be seated in the normal, dining area for better service.

Note to self you're not allowed to park your own car on weekends! So when you pull in and see 2 open spots that doesn't mean whip your car in the spot! Decided to grace the bar with our presence seeing as the wait time for a table was 45 minutes! It's nice to feel like a super star and have the ability for people to move so you and your friend can sit together! Well the super star status officially ends right there!! We sat at least 10-15 long minutes waiting to be greeted. I say long because I already knew what I was drinking a month ago due to the social media posts!! Granted we were given a menu that was slid across like a baseball player sliding into home plate! The bar area is very cute! There's a little area that sells merchandise. They happen to have live entertainment a woman singing. She was pretty good. Just a little loud with everyone talking it made it somewhat difficult to hear your conversation. Finally we got to order our cocktails we informed our waitress/bartender that we are ready to order food too because we weren't sure how long it would take her to come back to us if we didn't order our food. I asked for a recommendation French toast or pancakes she suggested pancakes and she even suggested the flavor I was thinking about ordering. I also ordered a side of home fries/ fried potato slices with chopped onions on top. Oh I guess you're waiting for what cocktail I ordered. Well at least you didn't wait as long as I did over month. Of course I ordered the expresso martini flight!! The only issue with the flight is the size of the glass what a tease I need a full 6-8oz for each please and thank you!! My friend tasted a little sip of my expresso martini, in her own words dang I didn't know what I've been missing! She ordered a boring yes I said boring mimosa. I say boring because come on orange juice and champagne. At least she's a little bit more food, adventurous than I am. She attempted to order the fried green tomatoes, and the reason I say attempted is because she did order it, but apparently the waitress forgot to put that in so she never got her fried green tomatoes, bonus points, the waitress actually admitted that it was her fault , my friend had an omelette with seafood in it. The only criticism she had was she wished it had like a hollandaise sauce or some sort of sauce on it.Should you wonder if I would be going back of course I will if only for the bar atmosphere alone and yes, I'll be getting another flight of espresso martinis. Maybe I can upgrade the adult portion size . lol

First time at this restaurant but hopefully not my last. Located deep in Pungo, it was a scenic thirty minute ride from my home. My daughter picked this establishment to celebrate her birthday and I must commend her on her choice. They have seating both inside and out (which I'm sure they need during their peak hours) and everyone was friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Their stuffed french toast with a side of berry compote is a must!!! Just the right amount of sweetness without being sickly and over the top. Both my husband and son-in-law enjoyed their drinks and my daughter and I loved our coffees. The presentation for all items were worth mentioning

It's a good place for brunch. I went on Sunday just before noon and could sit at the bar without waiting. It is a family restaurant. I don't know if you can have dogs. It looked like there was outdoor seating, but no one was outside. I ordered the eggs Benedict side of grits and a short stack of bacon maple pancakes. The eggs were okay; nothing special. The pancakes stole the show; bacon and maple syrup are a hit. They have a large selection that you can add to the pancakes. The servers were very nice and did a great job. My only complaint is the valet parking. The parking lot had plenty of parking, and they parked my jeep next to the door. Why should I tip you if I am forced to have you park my car?

Redhead bay cafe is everything you could ask for if you're looking for quality food, breakfast drinks, and atmosphere. My friend and I decided to venture out to the scenic Pungo part of Virginia Beach and stopped in for brunch on our morning Saturday drive. Redhead offers a valet parking service and has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Their menu has plenty to choose from! You can upgrade your dishes with a soft shell crab! Our server was friendly and ensured we had water and coffee shortly after being seated. We chose to make it a non-alcoholic brunch and enjoyed our coffee. Their food is genuinely feel-good hearty meals! The chicken sandwich was perfect and instantly helped me recover from a bit of a hangover . The inside is very cutely decorated to make for perfect photo opportunities and adds to the value. The prices are what I would expect and I plan to return sometime soon! Check it out if you're ever looking for a unique place in Virginia Beach!

Unfortunately, I was not able to eat at this restaurant. So my review is based solely off of the valet experience outside. The valet attendant laughed at me and threatened to have my car towed. He said he was watching me in a really creepy way, laughed and said who knows someone might have your car towed it might be me who knows and continued to laugh. I said told that was ridiculous I did nothing wrong and he just shrugged and stared at me with a weird grin on his face. NO food in this is town worth getting threatened over. He was creepy and weird. I would never trust that man with my car especially when he's threatening to town me and laughing about it. Because of this experience I will NEVER eat here.
