Red Point Taphouse

My boyfriend and I love Redpoint! Everything on their menu is truly delicious - can't go wrong with anything. We specifically love the wing nights (Thursdays) and lobster roll nights (Mondays) AND we enjoy the brunch on Sundays. This place is perfect for a date night or casual hangout. Additionally, service is always great - Ryan does an amazing job bartending and all of the servers are very kind and attentive! Definitely check this place out if you haven't already.

The best place for food, drinks and great service in downtown Smithfield. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and freshly prepared. We particularly enjoy the lobster rolls, fried pickled green tomatoes, shrimp and grits and flatbread pizzas. Highly recommend this wonderful place for meeting friends, dinning out or just a quick stop in for a brew and snack.

Stopped in for a drink and dinner. Had the crab dip appetizer as my meal. Not exactly what I was expecting, but not bad nonetheless. The IPA I tried was good and afterwards, had a pour of Stagg Bourbon at the bar. The service was excellent and ambience good. Give this place a try if in the area! I will be back...

This has to be one of my favorite spots in the whole area! Friendly, homey atmosphere, fresh and homemade food, great service, and reasonable prices. It's not the fanciest option in the area, but it hits the perfect middle ground for a casual date night or place to meet up with friends. Can't wait to go back!

Service was great! Food and ambiance were so so. I'm not sure if i would go back. Maybe in the summertime so that we could sit outside.

I'm here from Texas for work and was exploring the area when I came across Red Point Taphouse and thought I'd try it out. I wasn't sure what to expect other than some local beers and basic food options, but oh was I wrong! I ordered the select beef plate that came with a flank steak (ordered medium rare) with green beans and a cheesy potato. The entire dish was absolutely delicious and was blown away by the amount of flavor in it all. Very well done. I had a taste of a local distilled bacon bourbon and their in-house brewed blonde ale, which was great! The service was great, when I walked in I was greeted by one of the owners and the bartender and seated right away at the bar. They were both very attentive and social to me the whole time I was there. The ambience was great as well, I absolutely loved every bit of my visit at Red Point Taphouse!!

If you want amazing service, big city Michelin star type food, and a top shelf only liquor, look no further. Highly recommend!

Always good food. Great to sit outside listening to to live music and have an adult beverage. Service is always good.

On 7/21/24 mid afternoon we went to have some drinks out on the back patio. It didn't last long as the flies were relentless so we carried on inside. 2 of us ordered beers on tap and both have had that beer before so they knew the taste of the beer. One friend asked if I would take a sip as she stated it taste like straight up salt water- so I took a sip and had to spit it out. Then my other friend said I thought the beer tasted salty but didn't want to complain so I asked to sip hers as well and it also was salty too. We asked our waitress to take off the beers and asked if could get something else and she stated no as they had a choice to taste first- there was no point in tasting first as my friends already knew what the beers tasted like before as they have had them before. We all ended up with sour belly's and the shiats that evening.

They always have natty light on the menu but it's never stocked so they force you to buy 8$ beers that aren't as good.
