Went with friends to celebrate a birthday and it was a great experience. It was one of the best services I've ever experienced. It was my first time trying seafood boil and their sauce just took everything to the next level. The restaurant had a good vibe. I highly recommend it :)

My friend went to Red Crab in Hampton, VA for a take out order. The prices were much greater than advertised on the internet menu. She brought this to the manager's attention, and he proceeded to be rude and disrespectful to the point where other patrons had to get involved. He then demanded his food back, after it had been given to her, and followed her into the parking lot, yelling and screaming after she had paid. The manager is horrible and the pricing is gouging the public consumers. Avoid at all costs!

The is the first restaurant in which I ate that the server was wearing a firearm. The food was ok. I had a hard time finding something that was not fried and eventually settled for the Shrimp Fried Rice. My rice was salty.There were some sketchy people outside the restaurant. I would not suggest going there alone.

We came to Hampton for the Black Beard Pirate Festival. We decided that we needed a seafood dinner and found the Red Crab. We are SO VERY GLAD we did. We had hush puppies, a shrimp po-boy, fried shrimp with French fries, shrimp fried rice, and a seafood pasta. EVERYTHING we ate was delicious! The people were friendly, the service was excellent, and the restaurant was bright and clean. We highly recommend this place!! This is going to be a must stop for us every time we come to Hampton from here on out.

Boil-in-bag meal with variety of sauce blends. Place is clean and ambiance is nice. Waiter was a delight, with a great sense of humor, attentive without being overbearing. Crab was good, corn overcooked (but to be expected with this type of meal. Loose 1 star for restrooms, which were aged and unclean.

Went there for lunch with my hubby. I had the fried rice and lunch boil bag shrimp and crab legs with juicy special sauce extra hot. He had shrimp po' boy and onion rings. It all was cooked very well. The service was attentive and the restaurant was clean. I could not ask for better. I will be back.

Affordable steamed Dungeness crab with peel and eat shrimps as well, amazing! The restaurant was clean and we did ask for bibs as we were both dressed to go elsewhere so we didn't want to stain our clothes as we broke down our crab. We shared the crab. It's fine to order any special, not just that specific day's special. We had gone on a Monday but we craved Crab so that's what we got. You choose your spice level and your sauce. We took the popular vote and got the Juice which is a combo. Fabulous place for real whole crabs.

the boil was absolutely amazing! We got the sauce that was mixed with all the options and I could've honestly drank it. I plan on coming back here. we got medium and i didn't think it was that spicy. but i have heard others suggest it's a lot.
