I got the mega sampler($31) and it came with chicken tender, pork, brisket, sausage, two sides, and bacon hush puppies. There was a lot of food and variety with this meal. The pork was great. Brisket was decent, good flavor just missing some juiciness. Chicken tender were alright. sausage was good. Surprisingly I loved the bacon hush puppies! A great sampler with plenty to offer! I would come back again. Food(50%): 7.3Staff/service(25%): 6.5Value(25%): 7.0Overall: 7.0/10

Q Daddy's Pitmaster BBQ is usually a solid spot for great barbecue, and for the most part, it lived up to expectations. The mac and cheese continues to be a standout my daughter always enjoys the leftovers =P Most of the food was just as delicious as expected, from the sides to the other meats, making it a reliable choice for a satisfying meal. However, my recent visit with the ribs this time was a bit of a letdown. Normally, the racks here are perfectly cooked, with the meat sliding right off the bone with ease. This time, though, I had to really work at it--using a knife to saw through the meat, and even then, it was tougher than it should have been. It was disappointing, especially considering how consistently good they've been in the past. The service can be hit or miss, which seems to stem from frequent staff turnover. Some visits, the experience is seamless and friendly, while other times, it feels a little disorganized or inconsistent. It's not necessarily a dealbreaker, but it's something to keep in mind.Overall, Q Daddy's still serves up some great barbecue, and I'll definitely be back, hoping for ribs that return to their usual tender, fall-off-the-bone quality. If you're in the area and looking for good BBQ, it's still worth a visit--but know that the experience might vary depending on the day.Food Taste: 4Overall Service: 4Value of food to cost: 4Facility: 4Ambiance: It's a small place with a wood-look and feel. Nothing crazy, but pretty straight forward. Repeat customer: yesDog Friendly: no

Everytime we head over the bridge to Smithfield, Daddy's pit master has been on my places to go for BBQ. The parking lot was packed which is a good sign. Upon entry, there was a line forming almost to the middle section of the restaurant. I noticed a few tables and booths that were empty, but filled immediately once people had their food in hand. We looked up at the menu above the counter. I ordered the special 5 smoked wings meal which came with two hush puppies, and choice of two sides. I had the smashed potato salad, and Mac and cheese with a drink. The hubs had the 8oz brisket sandwich, and choice of two sides for an extra $6.95 to make it a meal. He opted for the smashed potato salad, and Mac and cheese. We decided on takeout since it was getting packed inside. We also picked up a bag of bbq pork rinds, and banana pudding. So the brisket was probably the most disappointing. It was fatty and not 8oz. The young lady dug the last bits from the tray then yelled for a refill after it was wrapped. We should've checked the takeaway containers before leaving to ensure everything ordered was correct. The meal was charged $6.95 extra for a wrong side. French fries instead of smashed potato salad for his meal. They were stale and reheated, basically leftovers from a day or two. He took a bite of the brisket sandwich, and didn't want to eat the rest as the fat was overwhelming. The potato salad in my meal was extremely sweet, and with macaroni that was slightly hard. The smoked wings were good. I did enjoy the bbq pork rinds as they were fresh and delicious. The meal was about $70 with tax and tip for takeaway. This was my experience as everyone has their own. Umm maybe more quality control on the meats and sides to ensure everything is fresh, correct, and ready to go.

Back again this time to try out their restaurant week special! All the food was still very tasty! Had pulled pork sandwich and chicken tenders. Both were still so tasty! I love that the meat is smoked so well it does not need sauce. The chicken tenders are nice and crunchy and also don't need sauce because it's just flavorful! A new side we tried was the potato casserole and they were good! Broccoli salad still a favorite! Hush puppies are still delicious. Service was great and friendly. Plenty of seating inside, casual dining area great for a casual evening.

Hard to beat their ribs (I don't think I've had better), and my wife typically doesn't like banana pudding, but she likes it from Q Daddy's! This place is excellent for eating in, taking out, and catering. While their meat samplers are fantastic, especially their brisket, if going specifically for ribs, be sure to either order far in advance or go at the right times since they don't always have ribs when open in the afternoon during the week due to the long smoking process and wanting things to be fresh. Once you try the ribs, you'll find that ordering in advance if the timing doesn't line up for their typical times for it will be totally worth it.

We were in the area and decided to come for here for lunch. It was pretty packed so we got our food to go, the line was long but it moved pretty fast. I got the Pitmaster sampler and made it a meal with adding the two sides and hushpuppies and pickles. The meal came with 5oz brisket, pulled pork and two chicken tenders. The meat was tender and seasoned well. I got Mac n cheese and coleslaw. Mac n cheese was pretty good, the coleslaw was decent. The hushpuppies were a bit greasy and I didn't get the pickles. If I'm back this way again I would try their other dishes.

OMG....Being from Memphis this is one of the best BBQ places I have ever been to in Virginia. I ordered the Mega Pitmastet Sampler and the Brisket, Sausage, and Pull Pork was cooked to perfection. Also, I got a bag or pork rinds and the Pitmaster introduced me to their Pimento Cheese to go with the Pork Rinds and I can say that my taste buds thank him for that tremendously. If I could give this location more than 5 stars I would give them at least 10 stars. I most definitely will be back.

My wife and I had a pulled BBQ sandwich and I had a brisket sandwich. 5oz. Plenty of meat don't need 8oz sandwich with slaw on it. Delicious! Also had hush puppy with bacon bits. One of the best Hushpuppy's I ever had. Highly recommend this BBQ place.
