Perfect spot away from the city chaos Has a decent parking lot and is on the city bus route There is a paved walking trail and basketball court The playground has been updated and is adorable with plenty for the little one to play on There is even a little puppy waste bag stand for your four legged friend definitely a cute spot to relax or run some energy out

**There are four regional parks in Suffolk: Bennett's Creek, Lake Meade, Lone Star Lake and Sleepy Hole. But, there are also 14 neighborhood parks as well. I am going to visit as many as I can before I move next month. That is my last parting gift to Suffolk.**Neighborhood Park #3 out of 14Pughsville Park (PP) is a cute, 5-acre park in the Pughsville area of Suffolk. PP opened in 2002 with some environmental issues since it's in a wetland area. Heck, most of Hampton Roads are in wetlands! When I arrived yesterday, I could see what some of the issues are: standing water throughout the park (we've had a lot of rain this spring, but it had been sunny and dry for the previous days) and mosquitos were out for a feeding frenzy. Amentities:*Basketball Court*Playground with swings*Grid Bike Rack*2 Picnic Shelters*Grills*Benches*Paved Walking Trail*Horseshoe Pit*Dog Waste Bags ReceptaclePP seems like a nice community park, although the language in the music being blasted by some of the kids playing basketball wasn't my taste. This neighborhood is very close to Bennett's Creek Park, one of the regional parks in the city. From what I've read, the community really needed and wanted this park, and it seems that they've taken good care of it.

This park is the perfect spot if you love being one with nature. The trail here is so beautiful and is so full of life. The tree's provide perfect shade and its so quiet you can hear all the wild life. There isn't much parking or seating if you need rest but other than that it's awesome

Good things for kids to climb on, first time here with my 2 and 3.5 yr old boys. Absolutely no shade, slides are hot, but it is the middle of the day. Areas immediately outside of the play area border can have standing water, so I wouldn't come the day after rain. Very quite, the pavilion is not to far away from the play area. Doggy bag stand right out side the gate coming from the parking lot. I'll come here more when it's not 85 degrees or over. Generally, I like this park because it's good for my ages, and it's quiet. At least today it is.
