Five stars for this amazing 18 acre park in Virginia Beach. Located off Indian River Road with I-64 over beyond the trees, this park features two LIGHTED ball fields as well as a playground, picnic shelters and public restrooms plus a path for hiking/biking/blading and a small pond. Way cool!Lots of parking for the folks here for the Kempsville PONY Baseball league and anyone else using the park.[Review 10828 overall, 597 of 2019.]

My husband and I have gone to this park twice to practice our roller skating, and it is *chef's kiss* perfectThere is a trail that goes around the whole perimeter of the park that, if I had to guess, feels like it's about a mile long, maybe a little shorter. Anyway, it's a really smooth asphalt trail. It's gotta be relatively new still cuz when I say it's smooth, I mean ~smooth~. Like I said, perfect for skating. But this park is not just for skaters, y'all! The trail has multiple doggy dookie stations (idk what else to call them) so that you don't have to look like a chump if your dog takes a dump and you forgot to bring bags with you. There's a big ole fenced in dog park, and, although we don't have a dog, my husband and I are pooch fans, so we like to sit on the bench across from the dog park to watch the little doggos frolic. Gotta say, looks like all the owners and pets have a grand ole time over there. I haven't seen anyone bring a misbehaved pooch so far, and there are a good amount of picnic tables inside of the enclosed area for tired humans to be able to relax on while their canine kids play and make new friends. Also both baseball fields appear well-manicured. Right by the fields is the bathroom area, which also appears new and nice. And also in that same area is the playground, which looks safe and fun :)

I am not sure why this park is getting 5 star reviews. It's right next to a very loud Highway so not peaceful at all. Super loud traffic! Nice paved walking trails though but you have to walk by what appeared to be a homeless person sleeping on a bench and the smell was strong. Lots of people were there walking, a few with dogs. I walked 30 minutes and covered all the walking paths I think.

We came here on a Saturday mid morning to meet up with some friends with our kids. There was a large playground area for the kids to play on. I wasn't a fan of their wooded mulch. I prefer the rubberized mulch most new playgrounds use. I noticed a couple well kept up baseball fields. There were several games going on for their local pony baseball teams. They do have built in concession stands that were going on. I saw paved trails. There were also picnic areas. They have about 150 parking spaces that tend to be taken during these times, however, there is overflow parking in the VDOT Commuter Lot and also the parking lot at the Woodstock Elementary school.

DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE!!! Multiple dogs at this park bite other dogs and people. Not mention the "regulars " just sit and say hurtful things about you and your dog. My dog has gotten attacked twice here both times the owners did nothing to try and stop their dog.
