I enjoy coming to this park to walk my dog because it is clean and the trees provide a ton of shade. I don't have to worry about her finding leftover human food or other random things along the path that she will try to eat. It is a decent size with a few paths that intersect. There are poop bags located at the front entrance of the park but also a station towards the back. I've never noticed them empty so that's a plus. There are two covered shelters with picnic tables and plenty of trash cans throughout the park. There are bathrooms as well but I've never been inside. There is a children's play area/climbing structure and I often see families playing there. There are about 30 parking spots but plan accordingly because this park is located near Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater so this area gets backed up when there is a concert/event.Only taking off a star in my review due to stories I've heard from family/friends who say that there are stalker/creeps occasionally here. When the police have been called for an assault attack a few years ago they said that these complaints happened fairly often... not sure how it is now in 2022 so definitely stay aware and have some sort of protection on you and bring a buddy if possible!

This is a relatively small, shaded park right at the intersection of Dam Neck and Princess Anne. The park has plenty of covered picnic tables for al fresco dining and is well-shaded in summer, thanks to the wooded area. There's a paved sidewalk that's wide enough for walkers, joggers and bikers. It doesn't offer much in the way of scenery, but we like the playground, which is in good repair and has several slides and swings as well as climbing areas and some cool hands-on puzzles for kids. It's been a nice spot for us during the pandemic, as it's never too crowded. We like to venture over after a stroll around the farmers market across the street.

Beautiful and cool down park to walk with all the shades of the trees. The best time to go there is around spring when the trees are lush and flowers are everywhere.

The Princess Anne Commons park is well maintained overall and while it's larger than a neighborhood park, it's not as spacious as it was years ago. The medium-sized playground area is partially shaded, has wood chip mulch, and is nice for elementary school aged children and younger. There is a mostly shaded concrete pathway that winds around the park and a couple of other pathways that end or continue as the sidewalk for Princess Anne Hospital. You can take a mostly peaceful walk, but the flow is a bit disjointed and during some parts you can hear and see the vehicles on Princess Anne & Dam Neck. There are three spacious pavilions/shelters and several benches around the park. There are trash cans located throughout the park. Restrooms are available.

This is a way, way, way overdue review from dozens of visits over three years. This park does not garner my visits by being awesome. Nope is downright meh to me. But it does have redeeming qualities nonetheless. Located at the corner of Dam Neck and Princess Anne it's hard to miss. Over 20 white post stand tall with solar panels that light blue at night. Ok, kinda cool. The brick around it is in desperate need of a power wash. Park is off Dam Neck and holds enough for probably 50 cars. I've never seen more than a few even on weekends. The lot seems always tidy and trash cans emptied. The park is maintained by the City of VB. There is a paved circular trail that may be 3/4 of a mile. The nearby Sentara Hospital staff use the park for breaks and exercise. Restrooms are on the grounds and close at 630 PM. A nice playground is a bit hidden from the road. If your interested in reserving one of the three shelters you can do so by calling VB Parks & Rec. There are also picnic tables and benches around the approximate 5 acre park. The biggest drawback to the park is that's it's a low lying surface. It does not take much to flood out and some parts never complete dry out. It was built on a marsh. So this renders a lot of the land not usable to throw a ball etc. I frequent the area for exercise while my son swims at the nearby YMCA. The track around the grounds are in excellent condition. As well there are plenty of mature trees that offer cover on a sunny day. The best aspect of the park is the tranquility it offers. It's a quiet place to read a book, or news paper on a bench. It's a low volume park and super to bring children to play on the equipment without being overwhelmed. I also see dogs being exercised frequently, please pick up after them. Bags are not supplied. So the positives out weigh the negatives and I'm at a 3.5 rounding down.

When it's a hot and sunny day I love coming to this park. With all of the great, big trees providing shade, we are able to enjoy ourselves and our time spent there. Along with the park for the kiddos, there's a nice trail that wraps around the whole commons making it a great way to get in a quick workout.

Small parking lot on the Princess Anne side, but larger if you're using the Sentara lot. Small playground area, some sculptures and a nice area for walking in the greenery.Restrooms and covered picnic areas are cool, too.

It's definitely not like it was many a moon ago. With all of the construction over the years its a lot smaller than its former self. With that being said, they still have picnic shelters, bathrooms, parking and playgrounds. Still a nice place to walk or even park at if you want to walk or run down Damn Neck.

This park is decent. It has a small parking lot that isn't too crowded considering it's location directly between Sentara Princess Anne Emergency Hospital and Dam Neck Rd. so I assume the parking is split between the two for people using the park. It has a well-kept walking trail in the middle and a small playground area with some trash cans scattered throughout. It's not very large - it's about .05 miles to walk around the entire space once - but it's a cute little park near the hospital and could serve as a welcome respite for someone waiting for family to get out of a procedure or to take their mind off things.

This park is nearby to where I live. I like that it's right next to Landstown Commons, the YMCA, and Sentara Hosptial, so I feel safe going here and inviting the family. It's easy to pass bc the park is on the intersection of Princess Anne & Dam Neck. It's mostly shaded with trees and the parking lot is quite small. I love taking the kids here and they enjoy it too. Benches and tables surrounding the park perimeter for adults to sit nearby and watch the children play. There's also a men's and women's restroom not too far from the playground and it's well kept and clean. Water Fountain provided.
